This day's morning was enchanting, drawing living creatures close to Mother Nature. Like every other ordinary morning but clearly not for Cathy, for whom this morning was about to start a whole new chapter in her life and awash the series of old heartbreaks. She thought of this morning practically every day and just by thinking about it she could feel her heart racing in all directions. She knew someday this was going to happen, that she wanted this to happen more than anything but not like this, clearly not like this.

Anyway, she went again through her check list on her table and got ready for the airport. When she came downstairs everyone was busy in something or the other. Her brother was as usual busy on his phone; his dad was fidgeting through her luggage; and her mother, well she was doing something that was hard to explain even for Cathy. When finally she stood in front of her mother, she gave her the best look that she can manage, that did its magic and her mother started her lecture like she had prepared for her.

"Mom I know, you've told me those things like a million times now. I know alright." saying that Cathy moved towards the kitchen and drank cold water.

"But I'm still not convinced if you'll obey them. Please listen to me Cathy." her mother sounded emotional that much Cathy knew. She went towards her mother took her by her shoulders and made her sit on chair.

"Mom I won't indulge in anything nonsense; I won't forget to call you; I won't hide anything from you; I will eat my meals regularly; I will take care of myself; I will make good friends. Promise. See I remembered that like my school chapters. Happy now, mom." her mom stood up and said softly.

"And you won't forget us and feel happy to come home whenever you like. And I just want to remind you that this is your home and you are our daughter no matter what happens, never forget that, okay baby."

"Okay mom." Cathy never understood what made her feel so close to her mother compared to rest of her family. Maybe the reason that her mother understands her like no other person, maybe because there was this bond between them that is hard to explain or maybe the fact that she loves her mother and would do anything for her and not only in theory but in reality.

Cathy announced that it's time to leave or she'll miss her flight that made her brother drop his phone in his pocket and her father to carry down her luggage. She knows that her mother won't come at the airport to wave her goodbye, she hates goodbyes. That was common between them, Cathy too can't tolerate the sight of someone leaving so she tries to run away without saying it out loud.

Now they both knew it was time for that terrifying moment which made them nervous and left things awkward thereof.

Cathy said "Finally ma, it's time for me to go and live my dream." She said this all smiles but her mother knew why she was doing this.

"Cathy are you really happy about this, I mean is this because of..." Cathy cuts her off

"Mom please don't you start this again, I've told you before. You know how much I desired this to happen, you know."

"Cathy you know that was different then."

"Mom I've told you I don't want to talk about it, it's over. Done. And it's same as always."

"Okay okay, cool down I don't want you to travel in sour mood." her mother knew why Cathy suddenly packed up her bags to study abroad, her reason was not only her desire to study abroad that was not true but held her tongue cause she knew how this ends if she argued about it. So instead she tried to change the subject.

"So you took your passport and stuff. I don't want you running after that later."Cathy gave her mother a look that said 'can't believe she asked me that'.
