"This is the worst thing that can happen to you while crossing the Wastelands," Leiar said as he fixed their ride.
"Aside from being chased by the Plague and getting caught in a sandstorm, right?" Arlie hands Leiar a wrench.
"Yeah, sure," Leiar replied.
"I think we need to find shelter," Leiar thought.
"This truck will take another day to fix. Night's coming," Leiar explained.
"Okay. Shelter it is," Arlie sighs.
Arlie and Leiar see a building with light on, prompting them to go there.
"Hello? Anybody home?" Arlie's voice echoed through the building.
"Shh. You might get us killed," Leiar quietly warns Arlie.
"Back off, now!" A gruff man with a gun appeared.
"Wow. Wow. Take it easy, man," Leiar raises his arms up.
"Why are you here?" The man held them at gun point.
"We...we need shelter for tonight. Our ride broke down," Arlie stutters in fear.
"Find another tower. This is occupied," The man replied.
"What if I pay you?" Leiar spoke.
"What?" The man looked at them.
"I have lots of food and other needs for survival," Leiar offers the man.
"If you let us stay here for tonight, I'll give you a bag of food," Leiar added.
"Deal," The man puts his gun down.
The man leads them inside the building, where the duo learns that the man has a family.
"So you got a family to take care of, huh?" Arlie says.
The man ignores him as they lead them into their room.
"Your room," The man said as they reach the storage room.
"Thank you," Leiar responds.
"Now the food," The man extends his arm.
Leiar gives the man his offer.
"I thought we were going to die," Arlie told Leiar.
"Not all people here are monsters," Leiar replied.
"Now I know," Arlie sighs as he closes his eyes.
The next day...
"Arlie. Wake up," A stressed Leiar wakes him up.
"You're up early. What's happening?" Arlie scratches his head.
"We have to go now," Leiar exclaims.
"Fine," Arlie puts his shoes on.
"Why do you have a wound on your arm?" Arlie notices.
"He...he tried to kill us during our sleep," Leiar tells Arlie.
"Luckily I woke up as I saw him standing beside the bed," Leiar explains.
"Where's he?" Arlie asked.
"Dead. I had to," Leiar sighs.
"His family?" Arlie asked again.
"I let them go and gave them the food," Leiar replied.
"Come on, I already fixed our ride," Leiar and Arlie continue their drive.
"We're almost there," Arlie looks at the sunken city.
Meanwhile on the other side of the city...
"Can't believe we're almost there," Ben smiles as he sees the satellite building.
"You were right. I would have never reached the building without you, guys," Ben smiles at the twins.
"Told you. Easy peasy," Fif winks.
"I just hope you're still alive, Arlie," Ben mutters.
"Come on, we can reach the building in one hour and a half," Autumn says.
On the other side of the city...
"We're almost there," Arlie smiles.
"I hope you and I can contact our family," Arlie tells Leiar.
"I hope so too," Leiar replies.
An hour later...
"We're here," Arlie mutters as he looks at the tower.
"Finally," Ben says as he looks at the tower.
Both group enter separately.
