A couple of days later, Annika came back early from work. All the elders were sitting in the hall having tea.

Pinky: mummyji acha hai na vo kaam karna chahti hai to, uska man bhi laga rehta hai. Aur waise bhi in dono ne divorce papers sign kar rakhe hai fir vo kuch mahino k liye itni achi job kyu chode. Usne itni mehnat ki hai itni badi company me jane k liye, waste kyu jane de.

Pinky meant to harm, she liked Annika as a person. She has seen how much they care for each other. But she agrees with Shivaay that Annika isn't the right life partner for him because of her background. For her, their marriage was an ordeal that both of them had to go through for a few more months. She wanted both of them to be happy in their respective lives, preferably not together.

Annika was a little hurt on hearing the word divorce but she controlled herself. She knew what she had already agreed to and anyway Shivaay hadn't accepted her as his wife, so what was the point in getting sad.
