[Rudra - Ru, Gauri - G, Shivaay - S]

Om: A few weeks ago, Shivaay asked me to go to Bareilly for a land deal. I went to inspect the land. A local market was established on that land and Gauri had come to stop me, to protect the local vendors. We argued for some time and when i started leaving, she ran my car over with a bulldozer.

Ru: kyaaaa, aapne aisa kiya {{ what, you really did that }}

G: arey to koi chirauta aakar humari dukaan todne ka order de or hum hone dete

{{ yeah, how could i let some random guy come and destroy our shops }}

Om: gauri

G: sari, aap bataiye aage. {{ sorry, please continue }}

Om: pehle Kuch din maine inspection continue ki, humare managers k saath deal ki details samjhi, us dauran gauri or meri mulakaat hui ek do baar. Baat chodo behes hi hui har baar. {{ For a few days i continued the inspection and went through the contracts with our managers. During that time we met a few times and argued every time. }}

Ru: to use mulakat nahi mukka laat bolo (he laughs at his own joke).    {{  sorry can't translate this }}

Om: Then i met the owner kali thakur and there i saw gauri again. kali introduced her as choti thakurain. We discussed the deal but he refused to sign it. A pooja was being organised at his place so he asked me to come after 2 days. I was confused to see gauri there, if she was related to kali thakur then why did she try to stop me from breaking those shops, after all Kali was selling the land.

I asked the care taker of the guest house about Kali and his background. Kali was like a local don he already had a wife which wasn't gauri. I hated her so much when i found out that she was his mistress (kali thakur ka gundaraaj chalata hai vahan)
2 days later, i met kali, there were many guests at his place. He announced his wedding with Gauri. His wife, the actual thakurain could not bare this, she set fire to herself.

I don't have words to describe what i felt at that time. I ran and tried to save her but the fire was out of control. She died a very painful death. Kali thakur was the least affected person with all this, he announced that he'll marry gauri after 7 days and he'll sign the papers on the same day. He was happy that his wife took herself out of the equation, happy over her death. I hated gauri even more then, she was the reason a woman killed herself. In that city, no one ever opposed kali thakur unless they wanted to die.

A few days later kali invited me over for dinner. If i had it my way i would never even see his face but we needed that deal so i went there as a formality. Gauri was serving some juice to the guests, she handed me a glass along with a chit of paper. I noticed she had metal chains (zanjeer/bedhiya) tied around her feet

I was confused, on one hand she wore expensive saris and jewellery and on the other hand her feet were tied up.

on the day of the wedding, i got the papers signed from Kali and left. I had no interest in witnessing that wedding. I saw gauri trying to run away from the wedding so i stopped her.

Flashback

Om: jab tumhe bhaagna hi tha to thakurain ka ghar kyu toda, mistress thi tab kyu nahi bhaagi {{ if you didn't want to marry him, why did you become his mistress, why did you break his marriage }}

G: dekhiye please hume jaane dijiye, aap nahi jaante kali thakur ko

{{ listen please let me go, you don't know Kali }}
