MONDAY

"welcome back to school pal" jisung laughed at san's pout

"here you go" lia said as she placed gifts on his desk "open"

"you just mad my day better" san joked, taking the smallest bag

the first present was a ring, matching hers and jisungs "we argued who got to give it to you. it's basically a promise ring to always be there for each other" lia had a connection object with almost all of her friends, not so secretly, mingis was her favorite.

next present was a shirt, and then the last present was an ikon album.

"thank you lia" the boy smiled and cleaned everything up before class started

"seat everyone, please. san-ah, welcome back. for today just try to keep up, i'll make sure you get caught up. let me know if you need anything" their teacher smiled before starting today's lesson

after class, san, felix, and mingi were going to the field. lia and jisung said they'd meet up with them after they finish some homework. throughout the hallway, people would welcome san back, asking him how he was, some people even giving him candies and drinks.

san liked that people were checking in, but, people he's never even talked to were doing that. he didn't want to seem like a charity case, he did want to feel like a charity case.

"mingi, can you help me" san asked, they've been sitting on the field talking, but san was trying to catch up on what he missed.

"okay, so divide, that. yeah. and then carry the seven"

"i got it now, thank you" the older said when he finally understood the equation. he put his binder away once he was done then joined the conversation between his brother and felix.

"isn't that jjong and-" felix couldn't even finish his damn sentence

"jangmi" san and mingi said at once, looking at where their friend pointed to

"they look cute together, are we sure they aren't dating?" felix chuckled

"i don't even know and i've talked to her so many times" mingi sighed

"yeah me too" felix laughed

~

"you coming over after school? my moms just made a batch of cookies for when i get home" jangmi smiled as her and jongho reached the vending machine

"yeah, my dads said that it was okay" the boy smiled back as he put money into the machine. he punched in the number for jangmi's favorite drink and handed it to her once it came out

"thanks, but i could've bought my own" she chuckled

"you can use that money on those earring you've been looking at" jongho booped her nose before pushing the buttons to get his own drinks

"yeah, totally, not like they're two-hundred-thousand won" the girl laughed

"your birthdays coming up, are you asking your moms for them?" he asked, walking back to the lunch room
