Why So Lonely 2 - Dave Hodgman

He was watching her and playing with her hair. She looked lovely but fragile at the same time. It has been one hour now. Some  of his friends looked at them and tease him. He didn't care. He never liked her not as a girlfriend anyway but they were friends and he always liked spending time together... But now he felt different, something changed. 

She slowly opened her eyes then blinked a few times. Dave noticed it but he kept stroking her hair. She smiled the idea of someone stroking her hair and when she was about to sat up, " You can still lay your head... If you want to. " he whispered. " That would be great. " she replied. She turned her head, now they were face to face. " I'm gonna read that book. " he said honestly. " You can have mine then you can give me when you finish it. " she said. He raised his eyebrows. " But you reading it? " he questioned. His eyes broke the eye contact found her dimple. Her smile was beautiful... Again that feeling tickled his mind. " I read that book like five times and I can just read the next one- " she stopped, he looked back in her eyes again. He didn't know which one she was talking about. (BTW in this universe maze runner has no movie) " The Scorch Trials " she said. " Can I start reading now? " he asked. She smiled and nodded. " But read out loud so i can listen to you. " she said hopefully.she hoped he'd say yes. " You really love this book. " he smiled. " Yes, yes and yes. Now read it. " she giggled. 

- It's 8 pm. now -

" I really loved Minho , he is a bad-ass. " he said. " He is and probably handsome butttttt Thomas he is just Thomas. " she said while imagining him with her. Dave watched her closing her eyes. " You are day dreaming aren't you? " he said teasingly. " Oh shut up. " she chuckled. He gave her a look, admit it. " Okay, okay i was day dreaming from the beginning, when you started to read it. " she smiled with her 32 teeth. He laughed. " That's enough talking back to the Maze. " he ordered but he was trying to hide his smile. He read, she listened. When he stopped, he noticed she was asleep. A grin found its way to his lips. 

Some of his friends came and let them know it was time to go. " Psst, sleeping beauty wake up. " he said quietly but enough to be heard by her. " Okay sleeping beauty no but Anna. Yeah yeah, wake up Anna. " he laughed at his own bad joke. He loved Anna more than other disney princess. She woke up. " Oh sorry, i fell asleep again. " she rubbed her eyes with her hands. " I'm just tired. " she explained herself. But he didn't mind her sleeping on his lap, actually he enjoyed it. " It's fine. If you ever want to sleep on my perfect thighs, you can always ask. " he said with a cute grin. She blushed, he notice but he pretend like he didn't see it. He thought it could make her uncomfortable. " Thank you Dave. " she said. 

She was the last on the car. " If you want  to hang out with me, alone... We could? " he said but it was a question. She smiled, a sudden rush of butterflies filled her stomach. " I'd like to. " she kissed his cheek before getting out of car. " Bye. " she yelled. "B-bye." Dave stuttered. He was shocked with her kissing his cheek. All he could think was her.
