How do you forget what they made you feel,
The way they made you smile,
Your laugh, the feeling you got in your stomach when you talked to them?
How to forget the pain they caused you
To forget the love you had for them?
How do you stop caring for them?
How do you let go?
Momma told me it was so easy to open your heart and love.
Momma told me someone would make me smile like daddy made her
momma said never let that person go.
Momma never told said you could get hurt this bad.
Momma never said someone could make you smile, but also cry.
Momma never said how hard it would be to let that person go.
Momma never showed me how to hate..
