TINY DROPLETS OF WATER raced down the ridges of the dangling green fern, rejuvenating the plant into a healthier version of itself, as the careful hands belonging to his caring owner carried it outside under the dazzling light of the morning sun to sit with his morning friends.

This was an everyday occurrence.

She woke up, stretched, sang, cleaned up, then took care of her endless garden and countless plants as she always had for only the universe knew how long.

This particular plant had been in her care for many sunrises and sunsets. Many winters, springs, summers, and falls. He'd been around long enough to know she rarely speaks. Only little gasps of exclamation, and grunts of pain any annoyance.

He knows her as the lover of all. The healer whom brings him back to life each and every time his beautiful foliage sheds, and never fails to heal  him back to his best.

By her hums, he could tell she'd been curious as to why only he did this out of the millions of plants she owned, and little did she know, he heard it all. He did it because of her.

He could hear her cries of loneliness, and it literally killed him that he could do nothing to make her better.

Oh, how he wished he could see and hold her.
