"Well, to be perfectly honest we only celebrate Thanksgiving for the food and to appreciate what we're thankful for." Eden explained to Gabriel, who was fussing that she was over exerting herself as she finished explaining the history of Thanksgiving and its significance in America and why her and her parents celebrated it.

But the Archangel's priority wasn't the upcoming holiday it was Eden who was still recovering from her terrible stomach wound, the very wound that had killed her.

"Never mind that now Eden, you need to get some rest or Crowley will tear me a new one if he thinks I'm keeping you awake."

"Aw, don't mind Daddy." Eden reassured. "His bark is worse than his bite and he'll answer to Papa if he messes with my boyfriend."

Gabriel's face flushed scarlet at the new term, and he quickly changed the subject.

"Please rest now, Eden. For me."

"Okay Gabe." Eden murmured as Gabriel leaned down and kissed her on the forehead.
