Chapter 6
Fire Elemental?
(Narrator)
The scene opens as Sadao and Hitoshi are finishing their 1000 mile run. Two weeks have gone by since he started training. Let's see what all he's worked on.
(Sadao)
"Your really starting to get the hang of this aren't you?"
(Hitoshi)
-huff- "are you kidding? I'm still struggling to run this much!"
(Sadao)
"Yeah but your not stopping as much. You only stopped twice this time."
(Hitoshi in his head)
"I guess he's right it does seem to be getting a lot easier. I've already caught my breath after running that much."
(Sadao)
"It seems your other endurance training is strengthening your body enough to run this much..... Now instead of agility training we
Will change that to weapon training."
(Hitoshi)
"Hell yeah! I finally get to learn how to use weapons!"
(Sadao)
"Now don't get too excited. Before we can do the we have to see what element your prone to. That way we can see which route we need to take when using your powers."
(Hitoshi)
"Elements???"
(Sadao in his head)
"I guess Bunko and Satoshi got lazy and just threw books at him that they thought would work. -sigh-"
(Sadao)
"There are 4 elements in the multiverse that every reaper, guardian and demon use.
Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. Within these elements you will find what you can use and what you can't use. There is also another element that is not as common. It's called the medium. Not many reapers posses this but it's a specialty that allows the users to use their mind to project things and be able to move objects."
(Hitoshi)
"That sounds awesome. So, how do I find out what I can do?"
(Sadao)
"With a test. Follow me."
(Narrator)
Sadao and Hitoshi walked back to the library where they go down below it.
(Sadao)
"Welcome to the hall of reapers!"
(Narrator)
They enter a room with a circle of goblets in the middle with statue it looks like all the previous reapers in the front and all the ones who tried and failed to be in the back.
(Sadao)
"These are the element goblets. You will place your hand on the glass and if it starts emitting either fire, water, earth or wind then that's what you can use."
(Hitoshi)
"Wow! Which one is this one?"
(Sadao)
"That is the water goblet. Go ahead and press your hand against the face of the goblet."
(Narrator)
Hitoshi places his hand on the face of the goblet and only a drop forms inside of the goblet.
(Hitoshi)
"What does that mean?"
(Sadao)
"It means you can use it but your not naturally gonna be good with it. You will have to master all four elements to before you can become a master reaper."
(Hitoshi)
"That seems like a lot."
(Sadao)
"That's why the SS will be here to guide you!"
(Narrator)
Hitoshi puts his hand on the rest of the faces of the goblets and discovers that he is more acute to fire type powers after the goblet burst into flames. The other goblets, earth and wind, did more than the water but not as great as the fire.
(Sadao)
"Ahhh. It seems like your more tuned to fire types but you can use earth and wind pretty naturally."
(Hitoshi)
"Why is that? I thought I would only be able to one?"
(Sadao)
"The reason is ...... uhhh .... the reason is!......
I honestly don't know. Haha"
(Narrator)
Hitoshi falls back in disbelief.
(Hitoshi)
"Then who does know if you don't?"
(Sadao)
"Like I said before, most of the smart stuff usually you can ask Satoshi SS1 about it. Unless he's unavailable, then you could ask bunko he's not naturally smart but he makes up for it with his studies of every book he can find."
(Hitoshi)
"Alright I'll ask one of them during the last bit of training today."
(Narrator)
As Hitoshi goes to his second training he notices that Sadao isn't the only one who knows he's a fire elemental.
(Naoki)
"So your a fire elemental huh?"
(Hitoshi)
"It seems like it."
(Naoki)
"Hmm then this training is especially good for you. Go ahead and step on your lily pad."
(Hitoshi)
"Alright."
(Naoki)
"Now the reason this training is good for fire is because even thought you are natural to it that doesn't mean it won't get out of control and burn you. Fire can be your greatest ally but it can also be your greatest enemy. Learning to control your power, even if you weren't a fire elemental, is very essential or it will consume you."
(Hitoshi)
-gulp- "How can I train my powers?"
(Naoki)
"This training to calm your mind and find balance within yourself is very important. It will help you maintain your power without it running out of control. Once you have done that I will train you personally!"
(Hitoshi)
"Thank you so much."
(Naoki)
"Now back to training. I believe you won't have much longer until you have found your balance and we can begin your elemental training."
(Hitoshi)
"Awesome!"
(Narrator)
As Hitoshi continues his daily training, it seems to be getting easier so the SS decide to crank it up a notch.
(Takeshi)
"It seems like your getting good at this. Maybe it's time to change things up, wouldn't you say Mayumi?"
(Narrator)
Mayumi nods her head because she isn't much of a talker.
—Morioki Mayumi—
The supervisor of section 9. Very quiet but very good with any projectile she can get her hands on.
(Takeshi)
"Right let's start using weapons instead of fists. Let's see just how good you've become!"
(Narrator)
Hitoshi desperately dodges the amount of arrows and knifes that were thrown out him for the next two hours until it was time for him to visit the next training area.
(Hitoshi)
"Man I feel like I almost died back there. A couple of them I couldn't dodge back there. If it wasn't for this stick I would fall over because of my leg. Man how am I supposed to do that."
(Sakura)
"Welcome back Hitoshi!"
(Hitoshi)
"Huh? Oh, hi Sakura! Your way outside of the training area. How come?"
(Sakura)
"I figured I'd meet you out here. Besides the walk through the garden is the best! It's so beautiful!"
(Hitoshi)
"Ah I thought this was a part of the realm but someone actually made this and tends to it."
(Sakura)
"Naoki and I made it together he asked what I wanted to put in the garden because I know a lot about flowers. From then on he's been tending to this garden every day."
(Hitoshi)
"Wow. It's beautiful. You've both done a good job!"
(Sakura)
"Thank you Hitoshi!"
(Hitoshi)
"It looks like we are getting close to the next training area."
(Sakura)
"Well before we do we should look at your wounds. That last training really got you good huh?..... "" UNIVERSE HEALING""
(Narrator)
At this point Sakura began healing Hitoshi with her magic.
(Hitoshi)
"Whoa how did you do that?"
(Sakura)
"With my magic and when you get better control of your powers you can use magic like that. Even outside of your element."
(Hitoshi)
"Outside of my element?"
(Sakura)
"Yeah. You don't have to only learn elemental magic . You also have to learn reaper spells which are spells using your raw magic to cast."
(Hitoshi)
"Raw magic??"
(Sakura)
"Yes, raw magic. Your raw magic is what you use to project any magic including elemental. Your will is measured by how much magic you can produce because your powers self-actualize. Which means however strong your will is, will be how strong your magic is."
(Hitoshi)
"Wow, you know a lot."
(Sakura)
"Thank you Hitoshi. I try my best but I have nothing compared to Satoshi of section 1."
(Hitoshi)
"Sadao said the same thing. I guess Satoshi is really smart."
(Sakura)
"Well, it seems like we are here."
(Haru)
"Welcome back Hitoshi!"
(Hitoshi)
"Hey there Haru!"
(Narrator)
As Hitoshi joins them he ventures on with his daily training not knowing what is coming!
