(Narrator)
But as he soon found out he wasn't as ready as he thought.
(Hitoshi)
"—huff huff huff— I don't think I can continue you on. I've never trained before but I have to be stronger than
Sadao. That's what Master Juro said..."
(Narrator)
At this point Hitoshi has a flash back to an hour ago..
(Juro)
"Are you ready?"
(Hitoshi)
"Yes sir!"
(Juro)
"Good. Now, you remember Section Supervisor Sadao, correct?"
(Hitoshi)
"Yes sir, I do."
(Sadao)
"What's up newbie. In the morning your ass is mine! Now let's start of our training with a 1,000 miles jog!"
(Hitoshi in his head)
"Is he serious?!?!?"
(Narrator)
now we return from the flash back to Hitoshi, only 2 miles into his 1,000 mile journey.
(Hitoshi)
"I think I'm going to die. I'm running out of breath. I can't ... keep... up ....
Gonna... pass ... ou-."
(Narrator)
Hitoshi passes out after continuously running from 2 and 1/2 miles. Sadao stops to see that his student has fallen and doesn't look like he's getting up any time soon.
(Sadao)
"Hey, quit slacking and keep moving we have to finish this run by 8:30 or you will never make it to the next training of the day!"
(Hitoshi)
"Yes...... siiirr!"
(Sadao)
"If you keep moving like that you'll never be able to finish this in time."
(Hitoshi)
"What do you mean?"
(Sadao)
"I mean you are relying on your physical body, when your physical body is no longer just physical."
(Hitoshi)
"........huuuuhhh?????"
(Sadao)
"I'm not the smartest person among the SS so I'll try my best to explain it the way I know it. The way our physical and mystical abilities work is by the willpower of the user. So the stronger your will is, the stronger your power will be. Honestly that all I know if you wanna get the details your probably gonna have to talk to SS1 or The Master. Now let's get back!"
(Hitoshi)
"Right."
(Hitoshi in his head)
"How am I supposed to do that. I don't really understand anything he just said, maybe I can ask Satoshi."
(Narrator)
After running all day Sadao decides it's time to stop.
(Sadao)
"Alright I say we stop here for the day."
(Hitoshi)
"-huff- -huff- how far did we make it?"
(Sadao)
"287 miles. I say we camp here for the night."
(Hitoshi)
"WHAT!?!?!? WE AREN'T EVEN CLOSE!?!?!"
(Sadao)
"Nope but I saw we get some rest because once the sun comes up we are back at it again. Here."
(Narrator)
Sadao pulls off his backpack and pulls the string attached to it like a parachute, and what opens inside are two tents, a table and some chairs, along with some food.
(Sadao)
"Dig in!"
(Hitoshi)
"Thank you for the food!"
(Narrator)
As they continue to eat Hitoshi has a question.
(Hitoshi)
"Hey Sadao?"
(Sadao)
"Hmm?"
(Hitoshi)
"What are levels? I heard master Juro say that the guardian we faced was a lower level guardian but what does he mean."
(Sadao)
"Levels are how we measure our opponents. When you refine your power you will be able to measure your opponent's level just by looking at him. There are 50 levels in all and the only one who can't be measure is God."
(Hitoshi)
"Wow! What level am I at could you tell me??"
(Sadao)
"Your probably around a .5."
(Hitoshi)
WHAAATT SERIOUSLY!?!? I figured I'd be higher than that at least."
(Sadao)
"Don't beat yourself up about it. Every reaper that joins start somewhere around there. Look at the master.
When he started over 500 years ago he was a .2. Now he is a 49."
(Hitoshi)
"Why is he not a 50?"
(Sadao)
"Honestly, he thinks where he is at is good enough and besides he's only a 49 when he's not serious like now.
The most powerful reaper of this universe was the first son,
who created this realm along side god and was the first Reaper to ever be created and not born. Now he is the Grand Master Grim who is Master to all reapers in every universe."
(Hitoshi)
"Wait, you mean that there is someone out there who is stronger that Master Juro??"
(Sadao)
"Yes. What you should focus on is the fact that there will always be stronger foes to defeat and taller mountains to climb. If you have the will to never give up and the self motivation to keep moving you will have the power the to surpass even the grand master, the only one who is able to reap God even at full power."
(Hitoshi in his head)
"I will surpass the grand master. Even if it kills me!"
(Narrator)
The both go to sleep, but when then sun rises it's quickly time to keep running.
(Sadao)
"Don't stop this time!"
(Hitoshi)
"Got it!"
(Hitoshi in his head)
"I will get stronger and I won't stop until I have!"
(Sadao)
"This kid has guts. Maybe he can surpass the Master. Then again, all the others have failed to do so."
(Narrator)
At this moment Sadao has a flashback.
((Juro))
"Sadao, we have to make sure this one succeeds. There's something different about him and I would like to see where he goes with his journey."
(Narrator)
The flashback ends and returns to the scene.
(Sadao in his head)
"Master Juro, you believe this one is different and you want him to succeed but that's based on one thing. How strong his will is."
(Narrator)
The scene fades to black.
