I teleport, hoping to land just outside the Arena, to end up among trees and fucking Bushes. Sputtering the leaves and branches out of my face I stomp out and brush myself down. I need to compose myself before I face my mates. Where am I anyway? I look around and can see the Arena just up the road. So I make my way towards it.
I'm almost there when Caleb appears out of nowhere, scaring me to death.
"Arrrggghhh!" I look at him and growl
"For fuck sake Caleb. Don't sneak up on me like that. Are you trying to give me a heart attack" breathing heavily i try to calm my racing heart, while he stands there laughing at me. What a dick.
"Sorry, flower. But I thought you said you landed in the river?"
"I did. Look I'm fucking soaking wet!" I rant
"But the river is that-a-way!" He points in the opposite direction to which I came from. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Think Kylie. Think...
"Yeah. I-er… I teleported!. Still not quite landing where I'm supposed to!" I say sheepishly with a shrug of my shoulders. He narrows his eyes at me. And says with a hint of suspicion in his voice
"If you say so. We will start working on that during our training sessions, I told you that earlier. Are you ready then? You can quickly change as I bought your spare clothes or just dry yourself with magic!"
"Oohh yeah. Didn't think of that!" He steps closer to me and sniffs me. I push him back and exclaim
"What are you doing?"
"Why don't you smell like you landed in the river? And is that body wash I can smell?" Shit! Tejus was washing himself and some of his body wash must have gone onto me!
"I don't know! I don't smell anything. Come on" I start walking away and he follows
"Why are you acting so defensively? And are you gonna dry yourself or do you want me to do it for you?"
"I'm not! And you do it. I'll probably set myself on fire or something!" He waves his hand over me and I'm dry.
"There you go. Though you still smell like body wash! And you wouldn't burn if you set yourself on fire! You're quite good with fire magic!" He looks at me knowingly. Though I don't know what he thinks he knows! Not commenting on anything he said, we walk Into the Arena and Caleb goes and joins Blake and Zander, who are sparring and the other guys are all doing various activities. I'm looking around, Telling myself I'm deciding what I want to do, but really I'm looking for Tejus. The bastard makes me jump when he whispers in my ear
"Looking for me, princess?" Spinning to face him, I scoff and say
"You wish!" Making him chuckle, As I walk towards Zander. Feeling him close behind me, I turn with hands on hips and snap
"Why are you following me!?" He smirks at me and says
"I'm not. But I am supposed to be meeting Zander!" He walks past me but brushes up against me. Making me shiver. I turn and hear Zander growl
"You're late!"
"Sorry. I was reeeally enjoying my shower. It was by far the best shower I've ever had" Tejus replies and sneaks a wink at me. My face heats up and I'm fucking mad, he's being so fucking obvious. They might not know what he's on about but I do, so that was all for my benefit! And now I'm thinking about it! I swear he's got a permanent smirk plastered to his gorgeous face. Leveling it at me he says into my head
