Keys and Clubs

"You have got to be kidding me," I said to Luana bringing her attention to a sitting Ronan and Kian at the bar. "You're literally bad luck, you jinxed me twice,"

The music was loud and blaring when we reached the club. The air smelt of sweat and alcohol.

I looked back over at the bar and saw a girl hugging Kian. They pulled away smiling at each other. The girl then waved to Ronan and he gave a small wave back. The girl turned his attention back to Kian as they engaged in a conversation.

"He has a girlfriend?" She asked staring at him. I knew she saw everything. "Should've known, guys as sexy as him are either taken or players."

"Probably his girlfriend, he isn't the player type. He's the relationship type, he never slept around or possessed any player ways." I said to her. She listened, nodding her head

"Well who cares, there's still plenty of hot guys here that I can play with tonight," She smirked and pulled me up to the dance floor.

I looked back at the bar and no longer saw Kian and Ronan. 'Huh they must've left' I thought.

Earlier today

"Let's go Lou," I said for the third time this morning. "We're going to be late," I said walking up to her and smacked her ass.

"If you wanted a piece of this, you could've just asked you know," She turned around from the mirror after finish applying her makeup.

"We're literally going to meet the agent for 10 minutes, you didn't need to apply any makeup," I rolled my eyes at her.

"What if I run into my future husband?"

"He's going to see you bare-faced at some point, why not just show him now?" I argued.

"Yea, but I have to trap him like this first," She replied

"I hope you're joking," I said looking at her laughing.

"Pfft, whaaat! Of course I am," she cleared her throat "Maybe," she said low.

"Stop talking as if you're ugly, you're the prettiest bitch I know," I said as we walked out the room towards the elevator.

It wasn't a lie. Luana was a real beauty. She had dark brown skin with a nose that fit her face. She had beautiful brown orbs, and her plump lips sat on her face perfectly. She has beautiful curly hair that formed around her face, and she had a lot packing in the back.

"You're my best friend, you're supposed to say that,"

We made our way through the hotel. I was a little wary because of what happened last night. I really didn't want to bump into him again.

When we got downstairs, we hailed a cab and made our way to our future address. We arrived at the apartment building which was grey in color. The agent was standing outside when we arrived.

"Hi! I'm Natalie, you two must be Alora and Luana," She greeted reaching out her hand.

"Hi, nice to meet you in person!" We both reached out to shake her hand.

"I know everything has already been finalized, and you guys only came for the keys, but I wanted the meet here so you guys could see the place in person. So come on in," she opened the door and gestured for us to enter. We thanked her and walked inside.

The apartment was really nice, considering the location. The apartments in the city aren't usually like this. They're usually really tiny, and the prices were outrageous. So it really came as a surprise when we found this gem, and it being newly renovated at that.

We later found out that the Landlord was an old man and his kids used to live here, but after they moved out of state, he renovated it and put it on the market. The landlord was out of state at the moment so we would meet him on moving day.

The apartment was perfect for Lou and me. The rooms weren't big, they were a decent size. Both rooms had small closets, and the kitchen had a small island with three stools on one side. At the entry way, there was a mini closet with a washer and dryer stacked on each other. I was grateful because I hated hauling laundry bags to the laundromat, and we could save money. The living area was right next to the kitchen and everything was open.

In the corner of the rooms, were paint buckets. So, I understood why we couldn't move in sooner. The apartment came furnished, which is great, because after Luana's hotel splurge, we really couldn't afford to dip into the rest of our savings anymore.

"As you guys could see, this is a two-unit building so there's only one other tenant who lives next door." She explained. "You know you guys are really lucky, people in the city don't usually rent to people who aren't employed, but luckily you guys offered advanced rent payment. That's really what saved you guys because, without it, I don't think Ted would've approved you guys,"

I nodded my head knowingly. There was no way renters were going to rent to two unemployed people, especially in the city without some type of condition. So, me and Lou decided to pay six month's rent. So that we would have time to find a job, and not have them worry about us not being able to pay our rent.

After we finished up the tour, we collected the keys and headed to the hotel. My eyes and ears were on high alert for Ronan. I was hoping and praying I wouldn't have to see him again.

We made it safely into our room and decided to just relax for the rest of the day until it was time to go out.

It was now nighttime and we decided to start getting ready, after showering we threw on our outfits. Luana wore a taupe-colored choker dress that came mid-thigh, the dress had a slit up to the top of her leg, but the slit was held together by shining chains. She left her hair down, curly and forming her face.

I wore an orange deep cut dress that also came mid-thigh. It had the same slit at the side but nothing held mine together.

"You look hot," I said smirking at her.

"Oh I know," She says smirking back at me.

"Cocky bitch," I muttered but loud enough so she could hear.

"Bite me," She answered and I looked at her knowingly. She returned the same look.

"Alright, let's hit the road," I said dragging her through the door and locking it.

I took her to a club called Spades. It wasn't far from the hotel, a good two minute walk. We made our way there.

That's how we ended up here.

After Lou dragged me on the dance floor we started to dance. Feeling the music vibrate our bodies. We swayed our hips and twerked our asses off. We slowly became the life of the party. We were dancing and hyping each other up. We hadn't even noticed we gathered a small crowd.

We continued dancing until I felt someone standing behind me. I turned and saw a cute dark haired guy looking at me with desire.

"May I have this dance?" He whispered in my ear.

I didn't say anything, I just started dancing with him. Lou smirked at me, giving me a knowing look.

I was about to flip her off when I saw a tall figure approach her. I saw his features as soon as the light hit his face. He was attractive, he had brown skin, almost like Lou, only a little darker. His hair was low. I saw him dip his head to whisper something in her ear, and she craned her neck to whisper something back.

They both started dancing together.

We were having a really good time. I was really surprised to see myself let go and have so much fun. I smiled to myself.
