Jimin softened, cooing internally as he felt June's arms tighten around him. His silent cries were drowned in the crook of Jimins neck, along with the bruising grip his teeth provided to keep his mouth clamped shut.

Jimin continued to embrace him, weaving a hand through his hair and serenading his frayed mind.

Jungkook gazed at the two fondly, his heart swelling in his chest at the heartfelt imagery his lover and their hyung provided.

"Hurt him, and you'll never see the light of day" Jungkook stated, somewhat catching Sungjae off guard. Yet Sungjae couldn't help but smile, grateful to know that even Jungkook cared about June.

"I'd never dream of it"

"Good" Jungkook smiled, clapping him on the shoulder as a sign of approval.

They had spent the next ten minutes or so conversing, until it was time for the Jikook couple to take their leave and say their goodbyes.

Once they had exited the hospital after Jungkook had filled out the discharge form, they headed towards Jungkooks car and drove off towards their long awaited date.

It was silent for the first few minutes of the ride, until a thought crossed Jungkooks mind and he couldn't help but ask.

"How come you still haven't asked me about him?" Jungkook queried, slight worry building in his chest at Jimins potential reaction.

Jimin turned his head to look at him, not needing Jungkook to clarify who he was referring to "you dealt with him, right?..."

Jungkook nodded, his eyes remaining on the road "I did"

"Then I don't need to ask" Jimin smiled at him reassuringly "I trust you with my life kook, meaning I trust your judgment for what is right for me. Your business is my business, and my business is yours..."

Jungkook smiled proudly at that. Hearing such words being uttered from Jimins lips easing the worry that had built up the past week.

Yes Jimin might've been confident in himself, but he faced difficulty having that confidence in others. Trust was a huge issue for him. One that triggered him very easily.

Trusting others, is quite literally putting your life on the line. One can choose to abuse such an honour, or cherish and respect it like no other. It is a fragile yet valuable thing you gain. It isn't something you could easily fix either. In fact, even if you do, it'll never be the same.

"Thank you for trusting me, baby" Jungkook responded, clutching Jimins hand in his own and pressing his lips to the soft skin "Because I trust you even more"

Jimin beamed at him, his heart fluttering in his chest as Jungkook kept their interlocked hands on his thigh, using one hand to steer the car.

Once they had arrived at their destination, Jungkook parked the car then got out and assisted Jimin.

"You brought me back...." Jimin beamed, inhaling nature's scent deep into his lungs. He adored the smell of pinecones and the fresh air breeze.

Jungkook chuckled "I did, now, come on" he extended his hand out towards Jimin and pulled him close, leading him up the mountain trail.

The whole way up Jimin had paid close attention to all the different trees and plants. He's always loved nature, just rarely got the chance to go out and explore it due to his anxiety of large open spaces.

Jungkook merely basked in the utter contentment and joy flourishing in Jimin's eyes as they ascended the mountain, a fond chuckle escaping his lips as Jimin practically sprinted towards the top of the mountain, standing a few feet away from the cliffs edge.
