"What's your excuse for being twenty-five minutes late, Shinsou?" The erasure hero asked, slowly climbing out of his sleeping bag. The look on his face didn't show his true emotions, though Aizawa was pretty upset. In his mind, he was just wondering why the hell Shinsou seemed so out of it here lately. Did he know about...? God, that'd be a seriously awkward talk.

"No excuses, sir! I apologize that it happened!" Shinsou shouted back, his bag nearly slipping off of his shoulder. He heard Aizawa's steps coming closer so he straightened up and met his gaze. Aizawa placed a hand on his shoulder, his head cocked to the side ever so slightly. It was strange to Shinsou, almost as if his mentor was caring for him.

"No, seriously, Shinsou. Why are you late today? And why didn't you respond to my text this morning?" This was most definitely odd. Shinsou had never noticed that he responded to Aizawa every time; it was just a habit. Why did Aizawa even care about stuff like that? Isn't he supposed to be this ruthless teacher guy who expelled kids left and right? What the fuck is going on? Did Shinsou hit his head? Is he dreaming right now?

"Um...what? Why does that...matter?" Shinsou questioned, scratching the back of his head as Aizawa released his grip on his shoulder.

"I'm just wondering," Aizawa shrugged, clearing his throat a little bit when he realized how weird this must be. "When you're preoccupied then it's harder to practice with your quirk, especially since your's requires you to focus. If you're not able to focus enough to show up on time or text me back then how am I supposed to know that you'll be focused enough during training?"

"I know when to focus on certain things. I'm not stupid," was Shinsou's response. The way he said it made Aizawa feel slightly offended. He was just curious about what the boy was up to, and he wanted to ensure that he succeeds in his mission. "I didn't text back because I don't have to...?"

"If you're not serious about becoming a hero, just let me know right now." The slight panic in Shinsou made itself known to the boy, though it went undetected by Aizawa. That was one thing Aizawa didn't like; he could never read the boy easily. "Is it your girlfriend?"

"What? Why the hell would you think that?" This is another thing that Shinsou didn't like about Aizawa; he could read him so easily even though he didn't show emotions.

"I know you two are close." Aizawa shrugged, narrowing his gaze some more as he observed Shinsou's face. He saw the faint and fading bruise on his left cheek. Remembering what the bruise looked like just a day or so ago, he came to the conclusion that it was a slap. "Did she cause that bruise?"

"What? This? Oh, it's healing," Shinsou shook his head, reaching up to touch his cheek. Tingles shot up his spine as he thought back to when Korei smacked him. God, that felt so fucking good. And Korei was so into it, too! Brought out of his thoughts, Shinsou noticed the wary look on Aizawa's face and immediately jumped to his girlfriend's defense. "It's not like what you think."

"Female on male physical abuse isn't covered as seriously as it should be. If something's going on, it's not your fault. I understand that you might think I won't believe you, but I know what that's like. Abuse isn't something that I take lightly, and it's definitely not something that Yuuei will tolerate. If Saito is abusing you in any way, you should report it immediately and get away from her," Aizawa spoke so seriously, his hands clenching into fists. The idea that Shinsou was being hurt made him feel so...angry. At first glance, he never would have pictured Korei hitting someone but it's always the ones you least expect, isn't it?

"It wasn't like that at all, Mr. Aizawa. Korei isn't abusive-" he got cut off in the middle of his explanation, eyes widening as Aizawa talked over him. He was telling him things that would have comforted him if he had been abused, but it was just scaring him. If something happened to her because he couldn't explain the situation then he'd never forgive himself. "I mean it, she's not-!"

"But she was the one to hit you?" Aizawa asked, hands stuffed into his pockets from aggravation. He watched Shinsou nod and then shot off with his own rant. "Don't protect her, Hitoshi. I'm telling you as someone who cares and as someone who's witnessed it; she will hit you again-" this time, it was Shinsou's turn to talk.

"Good! That's kinda the whole point! You won't listen to me when I'm trying to keep it as appropriate as possible so here goes nothing! It's consensual! I asked-begged, really-her to hit me! You're one of the last people that needed to know that but you won't stop talking about it and I don't want anything to happen to my girlfriend!" Shinsou shot off at the mouth, watching Aizawa's eyes widen before suddenly gluing themselves to the ground as embarrassment crept up on the both of them. "It's not like I wouldn't brainwash her if she was abusive anyway. I mean, she's got a smell quirk, there really isn't a fight there."

"Actually, you'd be surprised by what a quirk like that can do," the pro-hero mumbled to himself before shaking his head and deciding to just move on from this subject. He'd have to ask Katsuō to help him out in forgetting this later, hopefully, she agrees instead of laughing at him. "Moving on, let's get started with training. Change into your gear and I'll meet you out there. Oh and-" he glanced back at Shinsou as he walked by him, their eyes meeting as the awkwardness tripled. "Anything sexual that takes place on these grounds is going to be reported to your homeroom teacher. If you get caught too much then you'll be suspended and that'll ruin your chances of ever getting into the hero course. So...be discreet."

Shinsou's face slowly flooded with color as Aizawa left the room. What the actual fuck just fucking happened?
