We go to central park, and I eat. Peter asks, "What was Paris like?" "I used to like it. It is a very beautiful place. It is home to me, but I wasn't happy. Some things happened with my parents and my friends, and it caused a lot of damage. I got really depressed, and decided that a new start, or beginning, would be the best thing for me.

"It took some convincing, but my parents eventually let me." My stomach pinches with guilt for the small lie, but he can't know.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened with your friends?" I swallow my bite of the sandwich, and sigh. "Just some bullying and lying. I eventually stopped hanging out with them and tried to avoid them, but it got really bad. My family didn't believe me, and that caused some problems with them. So, I convinced them that it was time to get away. That I needed to."

We are silent for a moment, and he asks, "did they ever hurt you?" "Every day. My best friends turned into people that I was scared to be around. I think it was worse when one of my friends, Adrien, knew that this one girl was lying but still went along with her so he wouldn't be bullied too. He just went with the crowd."

My eyes slightly tear up, and whisper, "one time, after they were done beating me, he turned around and winked at me. That's when I realized that I couldn't do that anymore."

We are silent, and it takes me a second to stop crying. He wraps his arm around my shoulder, and pulls me into his side in a comforting gesture.

When the moment passes, I ask, "Are there super villains and heroes in New York just like how Paris used to?"

He nods, and says, "There are a whole bunch of us around the world. The one in New York is Spider Man, which I'm sure you will see eventually. But, the avengers base is down town where a lot of them live and train." I nod, then he says, "What do you mean how Paris used to? There were never any villains or heroes in Paris."

I turn and look at him, and say, "Yes there were. The villain's name was HawkMoth and he had a Miraculous, a magic object that can grant you powers, that allowed him to turn people with negative emotions into a villain that Ladybug and Chat Noir, the heroes, had to fight to turn them back. That is the short version of it, but it's actually a lot more complex than that."

He gives me a confused look, then says, "Do you have any videos of them?" I nod and pull out my phone, looking at several that Alya has posted on the Ladyblog in the past. I scroll to one of Siren, and click on it, pulling up the video and press play.

Violence/Gore

The video starts up on the roof, showing Alya talking about the akuma. Behind her, there is a brick wall. Peter gives me a questioning look, considering that she is speaking French, and I pause it and say, "She is talking about the Akuma, aka villain. She is just saying that it is a water villain, and that a lot of people have died and are hurt pretty badly, like most attacks. Then she said that Ladybug and Chat Noir are fighting her with new powers." He nods and I press play again, continuing the video.

After another 10 seconds of her talking, she flips her camera around and Peter gasps, staring at the screen. On the picture, she is on a roof, but the water is basically drowning Paris. There are several dead, floating bodies in the water and many who are drowning. There are also several on the roof who are dead, and also several more who are injured.

Suddenly, you can hear a voice talk. "Give me your Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noir! I need them to be happy!" The camera suddenly moves and you can see me and Chat standing on a roof, and the akuma's head is sticking out of the water. The video goes on for about another 5 minutes, obviously cutting out a lot of stuff cause when it ends it is night time. Alya signs off with her normal wave and ending, then the video stops.

Violence/Gore end

"So that is basically it. Each Akuma is different, but all of them want two things. 1. Chat's and Lb's Miraculous, and 2. What ever made them mad in the first place to either stop, or to get something/someone out of their way. Most akumas are like that, but all of them have different powers. The worst one was when Hawk Moth evilized someone who made him into Scarlet Moth, and then he could evilize all of them, making him have an army of Ruthless beasts and killers."

After I am done talking, I look over at Peter, and he looks mortified. "What?" I ask. "Doesn't that happen here?" He looks at me, still with the same expression, and slowly shakes his head no. "I mean, yeah, people get hurt and sometimes die, but they never come back. None of the damage is reversed, but normally it is only like, one building that was smashed or ruined. Not the entire city being killed." He says. I just shrug, trying to hide my trauma. "Yes, the damage goes away, but the memories don't. Those stay. And for someone to have never been akumatized, it is mortifying and traumatizing."

He just takes in a big breath, then hugs me. He says, "I have to tell someone." I pull back and say, "No. He was defeated. There is no more danger." He looks bewildered, then asks, "The heroes defeated that... that monster?!?" I nod and say, "Ladybug did, yes. She figured out who he was, they got in a huge fight, they both almost died, she took everything that was miraculous or anything connected to that from him, reversed the damage, then left with out saying anything. She hasn't been spotted since. Same thing with Chat Noir."

Peter gives me a concerned look, and says, "Okay. Well um, we better get home. We have school tomorrow. We can talk about this later. But one more question. Who was that girl on the video?" I whisper, "one of the girls who bullied me."
