Chapter 12

Nevah's POV

With some directions , I got to the cafeteria and I rushed straight to the counter to order some food .

"Good afternoon." I greeted the guy there

"Good afternoon ." he replied

"I would like some chocolate muffins and a milkshake with two cookies ." I said

"Coming right up ." He said and I searched my purse to bring some money

"Here you go ma'am ." He said and I gave him the money and I picked my tray of food .

"Thank you ." I said and I was going to find a comfortable place when I heard my name . I turned to see , who called and I realized that it was Genesis and she was with some few other people .

"Way to Go Genesis" I muttered , now everyone is staring at me and gawking me like a hawk . I scolded her mentally .I waved to her and gave her a small smile . she signaled me to come over and I nodded no and she pleaded with me and I agreed .

Baby steps , was what I took to avoid my food spilling and me falling because of all the hot stare from both male and female . I don't know what they were looking at , was it my body ? . Now I am feeling so self –conscious right now . I had a figure 8 body, at least that was what Sam told me and I am wearing a tight office skirt but they shouldn't be much stares, I am not the only one.

I was so deep in my thought , that I didn't realize that I had reached Genesis' table.

"Hey Nevah ." she said and I replied hi

"Holy molly ." The lady standing next to genesis said

"Let's sit." Genesis said which I was grateful for

"Nevah , meet Zoey ."

"Zoey meet Nevah ,she is Mr. Russel's Personal assistant ." Genesis introduced us

"Nice to meet you Nevah ." She said

"Likewise ." I said

"Now Nevah , this is Keith , My friend and Zoey's Boyfriend ."she introduced the guy next to Zoey

"Hey ." He said

"Hi ." I said

"Why did you say holy molly ." I asked out of the blues

"You're very beautiful ." She said taking a chips into her mouth .

"Oh okay... Thank you ."

I immediately started digging in . I got to know them very well , Zoey and Keith are actually Africans but have a strong American accent . They were pretty cool and I know we would get along well .

"NEV." Zoey called out to me

"Yeah ." I answered

"I want to ask you a question ." She said

"Yeah... go ahead . "I urged her

"Before you applied ,Did you know about Mr Russel or D.A.R incorporation ?." she asked

"Babe ." Keith scolded

"What ?."She asked

"It is okay Keith ." I said

"Not really but yeah ." I said

"How ? ."Genesis said

"Well , let's just say he saved my life ." I said

"WHAT!." Genesis and Zoey said and I smirked a little .

I recalled when we met . He was looking so handsome and so dominating . Well , fate had something installed for us . I checked my wrist watch and I saw that is was already 12:55pm , WOW! Time flies when you are with friends .

"Guys , I gotta go now ." I said getting up from my chair .

"Oh , that's sad , but we can meet later ." Zoey said and I nodded

"Thanks for having me ." I said

"No problem ." Genesis said and I smiled

I grabbed my purse and was went to the elevator

Zoey muttered something and I heard it .

"She looks like Riley and talks like her too ." Said Zoey

"SHH! ." Keith and Genesis hushed

"Why did she say that and who is she ? ." I asked myself as I stepped into the elevator

"Ding !." Was the sound the elevator made when it got to the destination . I immediately got out of the elevator and rushed to Mr. Russel's office , I knocked and no response , I knocked again and no response.

" Could he have stepped out ." I thought aloud as I opened the door gently and I didn't see him . I finally got the chance to have a close look at his office . My heels clicked with the marble floor as I gently took my steps surveying the office . I walked up to his mahogany desk and I traced my hands on it while I was feeling the texture and smoothness of the desk .

The cleaner really makes it so clean , that I couldn't see any dirt there . I could see the whole city from his office . it is really a nice site . I made my way to the table adjacent to his desk . There was a flower vase there , I inhaled the sweet fragrance of the Tulips , there was a framed photo faced to the wall , I grabbed the picture and turned it to my direction to see what was that ,when I heard

"Ehem! ." Mr. Russel faked coughed and I dropped the photo .

He was so close that I could scent his masculine cologne . it is so intoxicating , I looked at his handsome face and then his lips .

"GOSH! NEVAH ! , what are you looking at now? ." My sub consciousness asked me as I quickly stepped away from him .

"Damn ! ", I miss that warmth that his body was radiating . Goosebumps crawled out of my skin , I couldn't stop staring at his toned skin and sharp jaws, His mysterious eyes was something that I felt I would love to solve till the end .

"It is impolite to stare Ms. Axcel ." He said moving to his chair .

"I am so sorry Sir ." I said

"You are late ." He said clasping his hands together

"No , I am not Sir." I said in a high pitched voice but later I realized he was my boss when I saw him furrowing his eyebrows . I saw amusement dancing in his eyes .

"WOW tell me about it ." He asked with a hint of

"Well sir ,I got into your office and I saw you weren't there and at that time it was 12:58pm . I knocked twice and you didn't respond and by that time , Time was wasted ." I said in –a - matter –of –fact tone

"Impressive ." He said and I felt so confused and at the same time excited

"You may leave now and please email the document and make a presentation on tomorrow's meeting as stated in your mail . "He said

"What mail ." I asked lowly

" Do you want to say something ? ." he asked me with a daring look

"NO sir ." I quickly said

"That will be all Miss Axcel ." He dismissed me

I left to my office .

" God please help me ." I silently prayed
