NEVAH'S POV

The next day came quite soon, not that I am complaining but I am nervous to start working with one of the most 'richest business typhoon ' in New york city . I am also very excited too, I can't wait

I jumped out of my bed when I noticed that the time was 6:45am . I opened my wardrobe and I pick out a carton brown skirt and a shirt to compliment it .

" Shit it is already 6:55am." I said to myself while getting my towel

I ran to the bathroom and I took a quick yet clean bath and brushed my teeth .

" Nevah , have you woken up yet . Come over here , Breakfast is ready . Samantha said

" okay , I will right there ." I said

I put on my clothes and wore a light make up .

" I don't want to look like a Barbie . " I said to myself chuckling

I put in my essentials like my purse , ID, pepper spray , my keys etc in my Prada bag as I rushed out of my room to the dinning Table

" Good morning Sam." I greeted

" Good morning ." she chirped

" hmm , breakfast smells good . Gosh I am famished ."

" Then that's good because the food is waiting for you to eat it ." she said and I gave her a hearty smile

I dug in quickly rushing my food like I haven't eaten in a long time . I moaned into the food

" You cook so well Sammy. " I said with a mouth full of food

" I Know .'

" You sure do ." I said

" Oh my . I said looking at my wrist watch

" What happened . " she asked

" It is 7: 30 am , I should start going or I will be fired ." I said sipping on my juice

" Ok I will drop you off ."

" There's no need ." I said putting on my Heels

"There's enough need , You will be late and there are not enough taxis nowadays

"Okay , if you insist . I said in a defeated tone

" Let me grab my keys." She said

" Okay." I said

*FEW MINTUES LATER*

Samantha dropped me at the front of the office building .

" wow !... it is huge and beautiful . I said in awe

" I guess you haven't seen anything yet." She said chuckling

" Yeah... .I have to go ." I said

" Yes you do ." she said

" Take this . " she said

" What is this ." I asked

" A lucky coin . " she said

" I am sorry but I don't need it. I have God but don't worry I will accept . " I said collecting the coin from her

" No problem dear . "

"Bye ." I said

"Bye ." she said

I got out the car and I slotted my ID card in the identification machine . I rushed to the receptionist and she told me the floor I will be working at . I rushed to the Lift and I inputted the 69th floor and straight there it took me . I was so lucky that no one was there with me .

"DING " was the sound I heard notifying me that I was at the floor I am supposed to be at . Immediately , I began feeling nervous and my hands were sweaty .

I took baby steps to the office when I heard a voice boom for only God know where

" YOU ARE 5 SECONDS LATE."

" COME IN HERE NOW ." Davien said

I wasn't needed to be told twice that I am supposed move .

I knocked and a gruff voice answered

" Come in ." He said

" you are 5 seconds late MISS AXCEL." He said

"Whattttt ." I screamed in my mind .

How in the world does he keep all this record in his handsome head

"I am sorry Mr Russel , there was a lot of traffic sir . "I said

"I promise sir, that it will not repeat itself ." I said

"Don't promise what you cannot offer." he said looking at his laptop.

" I can sir . " I said and he looked at me briefly

"Now let's move back to business. " He said and I nodded yes

" You will have to meet Genesis and she will brief you about your job here and your laptop , Ipad and a new phone are on your office desk . " he said

" Thank you sir . " I said excitedly

" Don't thank me because this is for the efficacy of your job . So use it wisely ." He said

" What a snob. " I muttered under my breath

"You said something? ." He asked

" nothing sir." I said bowing my head a bit

" Good ." he said

" And also , I need the contract . Have you you sign it yet ? . " He asked

" yes sir , I did ." I said to him

" Hand it over ." he said

I immediately removed it from my bag and gave it to him. He looked through and then put it into his locker .

"I will ask the secretary to print a photocopy and send it to you before you leave today. "

"Ok sir ."

He dialed the intercom and said

"I need you in my office NOW. "He said and then hung up

"Honestly , I feel bad that person."

"I need a cup of coffee and Genesis on the way."

Oh, so genesis is the one that he was screaming at . I thought

"Ok sir ."

"I want it black and no sugar . "he said looking at his laptop

'Yeah like his life ." My subconscious said and I chuckled

"What is that ." He said raising his eye brows

"Nothing... sir ." I lied

"Good . you are dismissed ." He said and I left HIS office

"Phew ."
