On Repeat [ryeji]

Chapter 14: Tennis

Third Person POV

It was finally the D-DAY of the competition and everyone was nervous for not only is this the first competition of the year but the competitors they're up against with are strong candidates and great dancers too.

As for the situation that happened before when Yeji found out that all this time Ryujin is her secret admirer, she decided to write back as well because for her it would be fun and the other's reaction would be good to see. Considering that they're close friends and she knows how nervous the other was, this is the time she wrote her letter and has finally slipped it in Ryujin's bag when she was sleeping on the bus on their way to the venue. She told this plan of hers to the other three and they all agreed and even squealed when they were informed of Yeji liking the other back (which they obv knew already with how Yeji was acting towards Ryujin)

They would be on stage in about 30 mins so everyone from the team are just chilling or practicing. Yeji then noticed that Ryujin opened her bag and looked for something but she noticed the other furrowing her eyebrows seemingly confused with an object in her bag. Yeji realized that it was her letter and she was both excited and nervous at the same time because she didn't know how Ryujin will react

Ryujin then took out the envelope and opened it to find a letter inside. She grew more confused as to how is it in her bag, why is someone giving her a letter and most importantly, who wrote it

As she opened the letter and read it, she was so into reading it that she didn't noticed Chaeryeong and Heejin behind her trying to peek into what was written inside knowing who wrote it and smirking towards the culprit who simply glared at them signalling to stop the teasing

Ryujin then finished reading the letter and smiled as she recalled the letter's content, seemingly grateful enough for whoever wrote it knows her well and how the letter did make her less nervous and made her day better as well. She only noticed the two figures behind her when she was about to open her bag but someone snatched it

"Yah Jeon Heejin! Give it back to me" Ryujin said

"Oops not that easy my friend, you have to show us first what the letter is about" Heejin said knowing that she gets to tease both girls

"Uh excuse me but no that's for me only and why are you snooping on other's business huh, mind your own"

Chaeryeong then just laughed at the two and Heejin joined after awhile. "What? What are you two laughing about?" Ryujin asked

"Oh it's nothing Ryu, you're just funny to tease" Chaeryeong said then nudged the other before adding, "So, how does it feel to have a secret admirer too? Maybe this is a sign for you to have a partner soon"

"Shut up, I know you're both just teasing me but I guess it feels nice knowing that someone cares and adores me deeply, you know?" Ryujin said

Chaeryeong just hummed and it was silent for a few seconds before she decided to speak up once again

"How about confessing to Yeji everything soon Ryu? You know that it would be hard if you take a long time and you never know she might reciprocate your feelings too"

Ryujin just sighed, "Idk is that really the right decision for me to do? Do you think so?"

Chaeryeong just smiled and patted her shoulder, "It's up to you, I'm just saying that from another perspective"

"Hmm I guess you're right, if I want to up my game and finally use the confidence plus courage I've been gaining then I should confess everything to her soon at least I won't regret anything whether she rejects me or not. I'll probably do it sometime next week but first let's win this competition"
