DREAD (A Horror Short Story...!)

Part 4

The waiting room, dimly lit, is empty while dust gathers on it's windows a soft BGM of water dripping can be heard faintly, Alex is nowhere to be found.

Jordan trembles as the thought of Alex disappearing crosses his mind, he then
notices another opening to a room, scared, he stands where he is but tries to talk to Alex.

JORDAN
(Visibly scared, sweating)
Please come out soon!.... What happened?.... I saw someone and I also saw a ball!....why are you not replying... Is everything ok?

Alex does not reply. silence fills the room, the bgm of dripping water continues but unnoticed. Jordan does not have the guts to enter the small room and plans to exit the waiting room when Alex appears from behind and scares him.
Jordan is startled and does not find it funny he gives a straight look.

ALEX
(laughing)
Chill I was just pranking. You saw someone, who was it?... And what ball, what rubbish are you talking? Are you high?

Alex takes Jordan by his forearm and makes him sit on a
near-by chair.

JORDAN
(serious, annoyed)
I saw a boy, playing with football and then he suddenly disappeared. The ball he was playing with came near to me I don't know how!

ALEX
(smiles)
It's all hallucinations

JORDAN
No man...I am not lying I saw it..!

The bgm of dripping water now becomes a little louder still unnoticed along with other BGM's

ALEX
You are seeing all these thing's because you are tired and you were afraid that's why. I didn't found anyone inside but I found some snacks to eat, please go and bring them

Alex points towards two cupboards.

Jordan walks to the two cupboards, the BGM of dripping water becomes loud and audible. He opens one and finds files and papers inside on top of which is an open bottle with water dripping (the same that Alex has in the first scene), Jordan tilts the bottle and keeps it straight so the water can stop dripping.
BGM stops.

JORDAN
There's nothing inside this!

ALEX
Check the other one.

Jordan closes the first cupboard and moves over to the second cupboard. Jordan opens the cupboard.

Jordan is in deep shock as Alex is now exactly behind him smiling.

Jordan sees Alex body inside the cupboard, being devoured by mice, blood falling out from every part of the
body; intestines and several other organs exposed. A mouse bites Alex's intestine and blood sprays on Jordan's clothes and body.

Shocked, he recoils and is unable to breathe. Alex's dead body inside the cupboard starts to fall. Struck with fear, Jordan is frozen.

The body falls on Jordan. They both
fall on the floor. The rats on Alex's body fall down on the floor with it but come right back to the body, scurrying.

ALEX
Have it! Eat it!

Alex's ghost tears some flesh off the body and offers it to Jordan. Jordan horrified, starts to crawl back.

JORDAN
(Horrified, terrified, screaming)
Go away from me! Don't come near.

Crawling back, Jordan tries to reach for whatever he could see. His hand falls on a black slipper. He throws it on Alex's ghosts to buy some time to run.
The slipper went through the Alex.
(How dumb I am thought Jordan!)

Jordan stands and turns to the door, and runs. Jordan pulls the door, but the door does not budge. Jordan turns back and
sees Alex smiling coldly.

JORDAN
(Scared)
Please leave me. Go away from me.

He screamed. Jordan runs towards the windows, but before he could touch
the window, Alex grabs Jordan's ankle and trip him.

Alex drags him to the dead body. Alex throws Jordan near the body. Some rats on Alex's dead body flock on Jordan. He cries in fear.

Alex tears a leg from his dead body, and smiles. He sits on Jordan's chest and smiles down. He brings down the torn
leg and brings it near Jordan's face. Jordan stops Alex's hands on his own and tries to push him away. But Jordan is no match for Alex's strength.

JORDAN
(Scared)
AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The blood from the leg falls on Jordan's face. A moment later, the flesh touches Jordan's lips. Jordan's scream echoes throughout the station

This part took too much time to complete. I hope you liked this part the next part is short and it's the ending
