Maya's Pov
It's been 2 days since Malhotras came here. That night i didn't talk to anyone. I made an excuse that I was feeling sleepy so no can disturb me.
We didn't talk about that again. It is a NO from my side.
I know he can never be mine. I love him, i want to see him happy then how can i snatch his happiness by marrying him. Even if he marries me, he'll love her. I sighed
Please God give me strength.
Three of us were doing dinner , when mom asked
"So Maya, what's your answer?" I look at her confusingly
"About Ayyan's proposal"
"Mom i already told you that i don't want to marry anyone right now. First i want to make my career after that I'll think about it"
"Ayyan said yes to this marriage" i coughed
"What? How i mean Why?"
" What do you mean why?" Dad said
How can he said yes, when he was the one who told me to say no
"I mean we just met_how can he say yes" i stuttered
"Radha bhabhi (sister in law)
asked about your answer" dad said
"Tell her i don't want to marry her son"
"May i ask why?" Mon asked
"Because i don't want to marry him" i said firmy
"I'm giving you time till tomorrow and i want the answer in yes. I don't want to hear a no" dad said with a finality
"Sorry dad but it'll be a no. So don't expect a yes from me" i said with finality too
" I lost my appetite. Have a nice dinner both of you" and left to my room and shut the door with a 'thud'
I sat on my bed and hold my head
"That stupid told me to say no but he said yes. Is he in his senses or what" i laid down on bed closing my eyes
"What game are you playing Ayyan Malhotra? Now how will i explain everyone that why i don't want to marry you" with this thought i slept
Next morning, i got ready and went down stair for breakfast. I'm starving dude!
No one talked about that again. Thank God!
In evening, we were having our tea when dad asked the same question which i was dreading.
"So what is your answer?"
"I already told you, my answer is NO"
"And i told you i don't want to hear a no" dad said sternly
"But on this matter you have to hear a no" i said in same tone
"Maya! Is this the way to talk to your father" mom said
"Mom please! Why are you so pushy in this matter? Why do you want me to marry that quickly? "
"You are not getting any younger. You should get married" mom said not looking into my eyes
