SAWAMURA'S POV

When I woke up, I got ready for school since it was Friday and I made up my mind to ask my parents about the match now so that they could have time to think about it before I come back from school.

"Mom, Dad," I said walking down the stairs with my uniform on and backpack in hand.

"Yes Eijun?" My dad asked chewing on his bread.

"Can I go to Tokyo?" I said and there was silence in the room as my parents looked at each other confused and then me. "Wakana invited me to this baseball match tomorrow and I really wanna go so can please I go?... Nobu and Wakana's dad will be going..." I explained further hoping that would convince them.

"Hmm. We'll think about it but for now hurry and eat and go to school." Dad replied sipping on his tea. Grandpa came in and sat down so I ruffled his head and rushed out before he could pin me down the way Kuramochi used to.

Lord thinking about that gives me chills.

"Eijun you bastard!" I laughed loudly running faster nearly tripping over myself.

I hurried to school and took out my notebook. Since I time-traveled I've been slowly racking up my grades. I mean I'm still average, but I just so happen to reach the pass mark. I'm doing this just in case Rei-chan doesn't come to scout me after the baseball match then I could still get into Seido with my exam scores.

Hey. Don't blame a guy who's just trying their luck.

My teacher was shocked but overjoyed about the good change. Well, I just hope I don't draw too much attention.

My friends noticed me getting up to par with them and were weirded out but still happy that I was taking school seriously.

I didn't tell them about me wanting to go to Seido because I wanted them to find out the old way... if that is still to happen.

After school we started practice and when we finished I reminded everyone that we weren't going to have practice this Saturday and that they should take a break.

A few of them asked if I wanted to come over on the weekend and play some games but I refused telling them about the baseball match I have with Wakana and Nobu this weekend. They also wanted to come but they said never mind when they heard from Wakana that the tickets were already sold out.

When I got back home I saw my parents and grandpa seated at the table conversing.

"I'm home!" They looked at me in unison and then looked back at each other. "So uhh... about the question this morning-"

"Eijun we agreed to let you go on your little Tokyo trip with your friends." my mom says pulling out a map from her pocket and putting it on the table. "Just don't stray away too much from Wakana's dad I don't want you to get lost. Tokyo is a very busy place."

"Yes a place for people with dreams to succeed." My dad randomly added.

"Tch, and yet still you still ended up back here at the same place you ran away from. Is this what you call success?!" Grandpa responded

"Hey, you old man!"

They started arguing and I just quietly whispered a 'Yes Mom' smiling running up to my room.

I packed up my pitcher's mitt, a ball, a notepad, the map my mom gave me and a pencil for tomorrow and set my alarm so I could wake up on time.

When I woke up from my 6-hour sleep I hurriedly put on my blue hoodie and white shorts and went downstairs and made myself some breakfast. I picked up some snacks  some money and shoved them into my bag.

As I was about to head out I heard my name being called. "Eijun!" I opened the door running to them.

"Coming!" When I reached up to them I greeted Wakana, her dad and Nobu. After a while we boarded the train to Tokyo.

'Seido here I come!'
