Monday morning is hectic as we all ready to return to school for the first time since the fight. I had tried to argue with my uncle about it the whole weekend, but he insisted since I fought for so long to go to school, I can't just stop going now. We had all skipped a full week already, and he's adamant that we return to our normal routine until we figure out a first step to finding Lucien.

I kept it to myself that I'm already working on the first part of my plan. I don't plan to involve anyone else in this first part. I can't exactly ask Micah or Oliver to fight against their pack or families again. Not for a man they don't even know, and I don't relish the idea of putting the Haltermans in danger either.

I have no idea how Uncle Ben expects me to survive the monotony of high school with all of these thoughts of Lucien constantly haunting me. Is he dead? Is he being tortured right at this very moment? These two questions plague me the most. I might have done too good of a job of hiding my emotions this past week. If he had any idea of just how close to the edge I am, he would never let me step foot in a building full of humans.

On top of all that, I now have to worry about the mysterious shadow that's been watching me. I tried all weekend to remember when the first time I saw him was. I can't remember the exact time, but I know it's been a while. About a month I believe. Whoever it is has been watching me since before everything started going wrong.

I can't help but worry that it could be one of the Locktons. Once I was hit with that thought, I became paranoid about anyone I care about being out of my sight. Remembering my parents' bodies, I can't help but wonder who will be next if it is in fact one of the Locktons. The only thought that keeps me sane, is that if it was one of the Locktons he would have made a move by now. I doubt they're the type to just hang around and watch people.

Attempting to clear all of my endless worries from my mind, I grab my backpack, heading out to my living room to find Micah and Oliver already waiting for me. The three of us descend the stairs, meeting up with Lawrence and Cal by the front door.

"So, who's riding with who?" I ask once we all gather by the front door donning our jackets while we wait for Julian. We should have already established a way for everyone to get to school, but it hadn't come up before now.

"Lawrence can ride with me like usual," Cal speaks up. I ignore the look of disappointment that crosses Lawrence's face and nod in agreement. I know he hopes for us to get back together, but I'm not sure if that can happen or not. Not right now at least, maybe not ever. I care about him, but I also care about his brother. I also can't exactly trust him not to turn his back on me the second things get complicated again without him even bothering to ask for an explanation.

Without warning, I toss a set of keys to Micah which he catches easily. "You can drive River's SUV while she's not here." My younger sister left her vehicle behind when she left with our grandmother to join the coven. That extra vehicle is going to come in handy while everyone is staying here.
