Start from the beginning

"I was sent by my teacher to do some chores as well!" he exclaimed.

"Oh okay then, here" he let him take over his grass painting machine.

"Starting from there following all over there, make sure it's neat and clean—together do it" he said before leaving.

"How are you even here?" I asked curious.

"I already said it Missy" he said.

"You haven't been talking to me for like what? A week? And you're acting super weird?" I reminded him

"Oh I'm sorry, I got caught up in something but don't worry I never forgot you existed" his nonchalance made me slightly push him.

"Hey! What was that for?" He asked acting like I pushed him so hard.

"Let's just get this done already—I've been in the sun for the past hour" I said.

We refilled all the lines on the field one by one. It took about a big hour but it was worth it because the ending result was great.

"Ah! Finally, we're done!" I said letting myself lie down on the grass.

"Are you that tired?" Fazal asked lying down beside me.

"Try cleaning the whole gym as well and then you'll see" I said closing my eyes.

"Are you happy?" he asks out of the blue.

"Why do you ask?" I asked sitting up and crossing my legs.

"Are you happy these days?" he asked instead.

"Well yeah, I guess I am" I have no reason not to be.

"Good that's all I needed to know" he said smiling.

"And, what about yourself?" I asked.

"If you're good I'm good too" he replied. He stared at me oddly.

"Who could've thought such a pure soul could fall for a dark soul..." he said.

"I don't get it" I said confused.

"Nothing, anyways! Let's go! It's a bit hot isn't it?" he said getting up.

I got up as well and both made our way back inside the school.

"I don't know what you meant by: if you're good I'm good, but I truly hope you're happy. I don't see your face bruised anymore and I'm honestly really glad for you, seeing you hurt made me upset. I don't like seeing people hurt at all. I hope you always stay happy and smiling like you are right now" I honestly said. He stopped in his tracks and turned to me.

"I am in a better place that's for sure" he said.

"I'm glad and also thank you for getting me out of the water that day. I'm really grateful for that." I said smiling.

"I had to" he said. There was a silence before he pinched my cheek really hard.

"How dare you?!" I started to run after him as he tried to get away from me.
