I am growing, stretching, becoming...minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day.

Not much space left in here anymore...

Ready for their first gasps of air in the world out there, my lungs are developing. Primed for all of the adventures to come, my muscles are strengthening. Wrinkled skin smoothes out as my body plumps. My brain, this thinking thing, expands and connects - I start to know myself a little. A peaceful, still, deepest blue lake, that's me. Ripples on the surface when I get hiccups, oiii!

I can suck my thumb, did you know?

And now, as I blink through the newest curled eyelashes, I can see movements and shadows of light. Not colours yet, only monochrome, but I'm curious.

What will their faces look like? The two whose voices I hear. My own people. The ones who sing for me, and laugh and place their hands on my cosy den - I see the silhouettes of those hands, so much bigger than my own chubby fists.

Soon I will meet them, I think.

Soon...

But now...it's time...to go back to sleep.
