The computer screen displays a loading image as the pixels of a new Minecraft world begin to colorize, the light from the screen brightening the dim room with a soft glow. An unsettling silence ghosting over the grey room until a shaky hand lands upon the desk, swirling around the mouse atop the dark blue fabric square that lay on the wooden desk. Another hand strikes sporadic keys upon the keyboard, letting out taunting clicks with each finger.

The cursor moves along the top edge of the display, tabs switch on the screen, now lighting up with a less straining color, a few more clicks echo through the stiff air until a quiet *ding* noise is released from the speakers. The shaky hands release from their previous position and scramble until they meet with a padded headset that is lifted and placed over the ears of the boy behind the monitor. The headphones settle into the boys brown fluffy hair as he brushes a hand through loose curls in front.

A familiar voice is heard in the call, roaring through the speaker pressed against the boy's ear, rattling in his head. "Hi Karl." The other boy's voice is loud, but timid at the same time. The corners of Karl's mouth turn upwards, as a warm feeling fills his chest, although he had heard the same voice a few days before, he missed it more than anything else, the calmness of it bringing a sense of safety to him.

"Hi Sapnap." He returned, a happy tone behind his voice, trying to refrain from sounding too excited. The two boys began discussing what game they should play, debating on an assortment of games, settling on Minecraft since Karl had previously loaded into a world. The two boys played on the block game for about an hour or so, with small banter and subtle flirting that they joked about. Just like any other day, every joke broke a piece of Karl's heart, knowing that the words that left his own mouth would never have the same effect on Sapnap as the words Sapnap said did on him, but he pushed these feelings away, he held back from ever letting anything real, any thing that he truly meant, anything that could show Sapnap that he meant it. He didn't dare to risk ruining the friendship he had cherished so much, although he had come to terms with his long lasting feelings for his dear friend, he was sure that they were in no, romantic, way reciprocated.

He was snapped out of his hopeless thoughts by another *ding* noise ringing through the headset alerting that another person had joined the call, a British accent greeted them with a firm hello, George had joined the call, a moment later the sound occurred again, and a tired voice greeted them, Dream had joined the call, Dream and George had linked sleep schedules, so it's likely that they had both just woke up. Karl admired them together, knowing that both of them had strong feelings for each other but being oblivious towards each other was amusing to witness, chasing each other but to scared to finally pounce. Although sometimes he wishes he could just push them together, it wasn't his place to make that decision.

*Dream joined the game*

A green avatar with a smiley face and a blue shirted avatar with white chunky glasses loaded into the same world that Karl and Sapnap had been playing on, and started to hop around the map breaking trees and other blocks. The four of them played for the next 3 hours, enjoying the company of just talking with some of their closest friends. About half way through, George started streaming and they continued playing until they finished the world, which wouldn't have been such a challenge if they had refrained from killing each other repetitively, but there was no stopping their childish behavior. They continued joking around whilst Dream and George had been blind to realize how much flirting the two were doing, causing them to get an unnecessary amount of donations about DNF that had the group wheezing.

After a while of discussing and Dream and George reliantly begging for them to stay, Karl and Sapnap made a successful argument, and settled on going to eat, assuring that they would come back later, chat enforcing that they take a break after playing for the past 5 to 6 hours nonstop. They said their goodbyes to the stream and logged off of the game and voice chat, shutting down their computers and monitors, the loud buzzing that came from the electronics being cut short. Karl stood up from his chair pushing it across the room a bit aggressively, for no real reason. He stretched out his arms and legs, sitting in his chair for so long always made him uncomfortable so it felt nice to stretch for a while after.
