'Just Us'

Stephanie's POV..
"So.. How are you feeling?" I ask Kim as I hear shuffling under her bedsheets

She yawns for a bit but answers..

"Better" she says as she rolls from side to side
"Where's Jake?" She asks as she sits up

"He left when you fell into deep sleep,so he called me to come over" I say

"Oh,OK" she says

"I'm sorry. He told me" I say sympathetically

"It's okay. Thanks" she replies

I get up to check the milk I'm boiling

I make hot chocolate and I bring it for her

"Here" I say as I extend it to her

"Thank you" she says

I go over to my bed to sit..

Jake texts me that he's outside so I get up to open for him.
As soon as Kim spots him..
"Jake!" She yells but she can't get up..
Her waist hurts

"Hey,how are you?" He asks walking to her

"Thank you for yesterday" she says

He just smiles at her.

"I brought some coffee and pretzels" he says with a bag

"Yay,thanks" she says as she stretches to get it but Jake hides it

"You'll have this after you drink some hot soup" he says to her as he brings out a plate of soup he ordered

She pouts for a while.
"OK"

He gets up to and heads to the kitchen
He's back with a spoon and tray.

"Thanks" she says as she extends her hand to grab it

"I'll feed you" he says

"Lemme finish my chocolate" she says as she starts drinking her hot chocolate

She finishes her chocolate,then Jake starts feeding her spoon by spoon. Then,there's just a little left

"I'm full!" She says pouting

"Have this last spoon" he says as he feeds it to her.

I have to get to the library,so..

"Hey,I'm off to the library" I say getting up

"Oh" Kim says

"Yah,I'll be back whenever"  I say smiling

"See ya whenever" she says smiling

Jake's POV
Kim looks better now,yesterday,she looked so tired and scared,I'm happy she's better..
I think I should ask her about tonight

"Let's go out tonight" I speak up

"OK" she says nodding

"I'll pick you up by 8" I say

"Sure" she replies

I love the peace here. When I'm around her,I feel at ease. She just has this superpower of calming me down,she deserves a lot.

"I'll leave you to get ready" I say standing up

She holds my hand.

"Stay for a while,please" she says

How can I refuse that look? How can I refuse a 'please' from Kim? She looks scared. But why? Is it still because of her mom? She might not wanna tell me.. No matter how close and flawless we look on the outside,I've hurt her many times and she still forgives me..
