The judging was bucket-less free, thanks to Poppy for not forcing him to eat it all.
The first cake was Synth and Laguna's coral cake, a re-make.
"Very impressive!" Poppy said, nodding.
She sliced a piece of and when she tasted the frosting, her eyes got huge.
"THIS IS THE SECOND BEST CAKE I'VE EVER HAD!" She yelled.
"Let me try." Branch said, and when he tasted it, the same result.
"Wow. It's almost better than Fluffleberry cake! Note I said almost." Branch said.
"Thanks!" Laguna said. "It was my great great gr-"
"65 greats!" Synth said.
"Grandpa's recipe!" Laguna said.
"It's very good! Next!" Poppy yelled.
Minuet flew up with a white cake with sliver sprinkles.
"Enjoy!" She said.
It was a vanilla cake with classic icing.
"Yum!" Poppy said.
"Not too shabby." Branch nodded.
Minuet bowed and flew away.
"Next!" Branch yelled.
"Hey that's my line.... NEXT!" Poppy yelled.
R and B came up with a swirl of colors on their cake. It had blue, pink, green, purple, orange, yellow, you name it.
"Whoa. How are we supposed to know what flavor it is?" Poppy asked.
"It's fruit!" B said.
"And milk chocolate!" R added.
Poppy mouth salivated.
"Oh gosh, that looks so good." She said.
"Well then what are you waiting for?" B asked.
Poppy cut her and Branch a piece and it tasted like a mix of chocolate and fruit punch.
"This is really good!" Poppy complemented.
R and B fist bumped.
"Next!" Poppy yelled.
Guy and Tiny Diamond walked up with a cake coated in glitter.
"Whoa. That's a lot of glitter." Branch said.
"You bet Uncle Branch!" Tiny said.
Poppy ate a piece and smiled.
"Chocolate." She said.
"Next!" Tiny said.
"Hey!" Poppy said. Tiny walked out.
"Peace and Love, Tiny out." He said.
Holly galloped in with a cake with fences made of pretzels and orange icing.
"Yum! An ice cream cake!" Poppy said.
She tasted a piece and smiled.
"Next!" Poppy yelled.
Satin and Chenille walked in with a two part cake, one half pink, the other blue.
"We comprised!" Satin said.
"Very unlikely!" Chenille added.
Poppy tasted the pink and Branch had some of the blue.
"It tastes really good girls!" Branch said.
"Next!" Poppy said.
"That's all." Branch said.
"Wait really?" Poppy asked.
"Yep." Branch looked at the clipboard. 👁 📋 👁
"Oh wait," Val ran in.
"Sorry, Val then we are done." Branch said.
Val had a cake bigger than Poppy's pod and it had rock on frosted all over it.
"Wow! Val, how did you make that?" Poppy asked.
"I told you! Going with the F.L.O.W, works every time." Val said, leaning on a tree.
"Whoa." Branch said.
A little later
Poppy cleared her throat.
"And the winner of the Cook-Off is..."
Branch looked at the name.
"Laguna Tidepool and Synth!" Branch announced.
"EEEEEEE!" Laguna jumped up and down and then stood really still.
"Sorry, the 2 year old in me flipped out." She apologized.
"Dangit." Holly stomped her hoof.
"Well, good game. I really thought something bigger was gonna happen." Poppy shrugged.
