Y/n Pov
"Alright class when we return back tomorrow I want these essays printed and in my hand at 9 am on the dot, no later than 9:05 okay? Have a good day everyone"
It's days like this I wish college wasn't the "right" path to take after high school as if life wasn't hard enough, being forced to do another 4 years of schooling really puts the cherry on top. I got up from my desk and headed out of the classroom to avoid any unwanted social interaction.
Before I could make it to the exit I was bum-rushed by the sight of blonde curly hair blocking my way "Hey Y/n wanna come with me downtown to see the new football players ?! It'll be funn we can watch them while eating nachos and maybe even find our soulmates"
So much for no social interaction, "I'm sorry but what new football players?" I asked the girl who stood equally the same height as me, her name was Everest to be specific. She was a pretty typical suburban girl from Chicago if you asked me, hyperactive, green eyes, nice smile, and most importantly she was gorgeous.
"You mean to tell me you don't know about the new recruits?" She gasped "Each year the major NFL teams draft new players that ultimately make the team better AND make them rich people !"
"Okay, but us going to see them will benefit us how exactly?"
"We will never know unless we go!" she yelled pulling me out the double doors while she fumbled looking for her keys. The car ride was no less than 15 minutes long considering it was only 10 am.
I glanced outside the window to see perfectly trimmed grass filled with over 30 players running around in blue and orange jerseys while whistles blew every 5 seconds. "Are we even allowed to go over there?"
Everest laughed at my cause for concern, "I don't know, but I really don't care either" she got out of the car motioning for me to get out and follow in her steps. "Come on y/n our destiny awaits us!"
I shook my head and slowly got out of the car following behind her, towards the front of the area there at least 20 rows of seats labeled with the team's logo, to no surprise, Everest decided to take the very first seat in the front row which had a very up close and personal view of everything taking place on the field. To the right of us I could see a concession stand with food being kept in microwave ovens.
"I'm gonna go get some food, you want anything?"
"Yes, him right there #24" she said in a seductive tone pointing at the boy who was no more than inches away from hearing our conversation. God why did I agree to this?
"I- I'll be back okay don't do anything stupid" walking away from her I kept my eye glued to the food which was one of the only things keeping me from bailing out of this. There was nobody behind the counter so I took it upon myself to grab whatever looked appealing, large popcorn, airhead bites, nachos for later because lord knows I'm gonna need it.
