A Part Of It (Avengers)

Chapter 39

"What kills me is that I won't even get the change to text any of you, not Peter, not even you Nat. Like if something happens here or while I am up there in Asgard I can't come and save you guys." I tell them, and that's when it actually hit them I think, because their faces fell completely,

"Well, if I may intervene in your chat, I do have something for you." I hear Tony's voice interrupt us and we all turn around to face him, my brows furrowed as to why he would have something for me,

"I have created this device." he said holding up something that really looked like a phone, I looked at the phone then back at him,

"It's a space phone, the name sucks, I'll have to change it later, anyway the point is that I have created it so you can communicate with all of us back here on earth. I have created another one for Parker, but by tomorrow everyone should have one, so if you ever need to contact us or us contact you, there will be a way." he said and I was speechless, he actually did something really nice, it meant that I would be able to text Peter even if I would be in Asgard and that was awesome, I looked at Tony and smiled at him,

"Well thank you very much Tony, that's very nice of you." I tell him, I still felt a bit uncomfortable whenever I was with him but still, I was grateful for his new invention,

"You're welcome, it's the least I could do, after you brought back-" he paused looking down, and back up at us, clearing his throat,

"Thank you." I tell him again, not wanting him to get all emotional in front of everyone, he smiled at me and went back to where he came from,

After that we kept on talking a bit, and I texted Peter about how I would be leaving tonight. Nat suggested to go and train a bit with me, just in case I would need it, and I agreed with her, so we went and trained a bit. Leaving Bucky alone in the kitchen as Sam entered.

After what seemed like ages of training and sweating, I looked at the time and it was already 3.30  p.m.

"Already tired Jones?" Nat said trying to make me go back on the mat, I laughed at her,

"Yeah, and overall hungry, if you don't want me to faint I will have to eat something." I tell her, to which she laughed and eventually she joined me and we made our way back to the kitchen, that's when I saw uncle Nick and Aly, I rushed towards them, giving them a kiss on the cheek and picking up Aly and hugging her tightly,

"I heard that Thor wants to bring you to Asgard tonight." he said looking up at me as he was sitting down, I just nodded, looking at him and Aly, my heart aching not knowing for how long I would be gone,

"Mia," he said standing up, I already felt a tear forming in my eye, I smiled at him, weakly but I did anyway,

"Mia, you will be careful okay." he said as he brushed his hand slowly in my hair, I could feel everyone looking at us, to see so much affection coming from Fury was new to them, and to me as well,

"I promise I will, anyway I think I will be well taken care of with Thor." I tell him, smiling a bit, and wiping away a tear quickly, as Aly's tiny hands were on my face,

"And you, don't grow up too much while I am gone okay?" I tell her to which she just made a weird face, I kissed her cheeks making her laugh,

"We will all be here when you will come back." I heard a voice from behind me say, I turned around to see it was Peter, I rushed to him, still having Aly in my arms, hugging him as tight as I could even with her in my arms,

"What are you doing here?" I asked him, and he caressed my cheek and smiled at me,

"As soon as I got your text I knew that I couldn't just stay in school and not spend the last hours I had with you until you go to Asgard." he told me and I just smiled and kissed him tenderly, he really was what I needed at the moment,
