13 Crowns: Part 2

Chapter#12:Day 9

I woke up to the smell of bacon. I sat up when the kid walked before me.
"Morning!" The kid said.
"Morning," I answered.
"Any new revelation in your dream last night?"
"No."
"Anyway, we need to wait for the dark figures to revert to people."
"Cool."
"Let's eat breakfast first."
"Okay."
We ate breakfast and then headed to the cots. One person was standing there. I shot it down as fast as possible.
"Wow!"The kid said.
"What?"I asked.
"Even with no memories, you can still kick ass."
"Hell ya!" I continued."So how do I know you?"
"I'm Jared; we are family."
"Nice to meet you."
We both sat in the middle of the tent. Jarred proceeded to pull out two bottles of Pepsi from his jacket. He handed one to me.
"Can you tell me a story?"I asked.
"Sure," Jarred responded. "Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl. They fell in love, but their families did not accept it."
"Is this Romeo and Juliet?"
"You are the one who asked for a story."
"True, I did."
"Then shut up!"He continued. "Two children were born in this union. This couple ran, leaving their twins in a place called earth. They both grew up for sixteen years without any idea the other exists. One day the twin's grandfather took over as the head of a nation. The only thing that stopped him was the fact the twins were still alive. He was close to killing the girl until a boy with black hair and blue eyes save her."
"The guy sounds cute."I interrupted him once again.
"Interesting you say that." He answered.
"Why?"
"No reason."
After moments of awkwardness, he continued.
"They fell in love at first sight."
Suddenly one of the figures sat up gasping for air. Jarred and I looked at him. I saw the boy from the story just had more tattoos.
"Holy shit!"I said.
"Speak of the devil," Jarred said.
"Hi!" The kid said.
"Does he look familiar to you?"
"No, sorry," I continued."He's adorable, though."
"Right back at you, girl!" He attempted to say smoothly.
Jarred facepalmed, and I blushed.
"I'm going to leave you two alone to figure your shit out."
Jarred proceeded to leave, and the boy sat next to me.
"Hi!"I said.
"Hi." He answered back.
"What's your name?"
"I don't know; what about you?"
"Jerrica."
Our hands soon touched. I woke up in a cave highlighted by a teal hue. I sat up to see the boy from before holding a crossbow to a younger version of me. I then woke up.
"Wow!"He said.
I put my head on my knees.
"What?"I asked.
"You're my wife."
He tackled me with a hug.
"I'm your what?"I asked.
"Do you both have your clothes on?"Jarred interrupted.
Ezra released me for the hug and got up to hug Jarred.
"Bro!"Ezra said.
"Bro!" Jarred responded.
They started to do a handshake.
"Holy Shit!"Ezra said.
"You have your memory back!"Jarred cheered.
"She still doesn't have her memory back!"
"No, still. What is today?"
"November eighth."
"Holy shit! I've been out for four days."
"Excuse me, can someone explain to me what the hell is going on?"I screamed.
"Oh ya, that's going to be an issue," Jarred responded.
"I'm right here, you know!"
"How do we get her to remember?" Ezra asked.
"You need to have her fall in love with you," Jarred explained.
"I'm still here!"
Jarred left, and the boy and I were alone. Ezra sat back down next to me.
"Hi!" He said.
"Sup," I answered.
"Wait, do you still have-"
"I'm sorry."
"For what."
"Not being the person you think I am...or who you want me to be."
"Look, I will help you get your memories back."
"Why?"
"I care about you."
"You don't know me."
He kissed me. Everything went white, and then all my memories flooded back. My eyes slowly fluttered open. Ezra slowly moved back; his face was completely red.
"I'm sorry!" He said, getting up.
I pulled him down and grabbed his shirt. I then kissed him again. We both got up, and I hugged him. We both soon looked back at each other.
"Hi!"I said, smiling at him.
"Holy shit," He responded.
"What?"
"You got your memories back!"
"No, really, nerd!"
He pulled me closer and kissed me. He then picked me up and laid me on the cot. We proceeded to cuddle.  He put his hand on my face; he had a happy but sorrowful look in his eyes.
"What?"I questioned.
"Just never thought I wouldn't see you again." He responded.
Tears started to fill his eyes. I grabbed his face and kissed him.
"We are together now; that's all that matters," I explained.
"What about the kids?"
"I'm hoping they are safe with my parents."
He pulled me even closer than before.
"I love you!" He said.
"I love you more!" I responded.
"What are we going to do about our situation?"
"I-I don't know."
"We can figure this out. We've been through worse."
"I know." I kissed him.
"Can I open my eyes?"Jared questioned.
"Stop being dramatic!" Ezra responded.
I got up and hugged jarred.
"Hi!" I said.
"That was fast!"Jarred answered.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Ezra got up and grabbed my waist.
"You guys are in love, to a gross extent," Jared explained.
"Your point?"Ezra asked.
"True love's kiss...it can break any spell."
"Awe!"I said.
I then kissed Ezra. We went to eat lunch with everyone. The group was talking when I got their attention.
"Hi!" I continued. "My name is Jerrica Reynolds. I come from the Halloway family. This is my husband Ezra and his cousin Jarred. Any questions?"
"No," Alex responded.
"Okay?"Most of the group responded.
"That was dramatic," Nora answered.
"Let's just eat lunch now."Alex pipped in frantically.
"Okay!"I responded.
We had chicken noodle soup for lunch. I noticed Alex was acting off. He wouldn't even look at me. Alex began to walk off toward the 'sick bay .'
"Hey, are you okay?"I asked.
He kissed me. I slapped him and fell on my butt. Little did I know, flames were bursting from my hands. When I fell, everything went white. I woke up with five unconscious people surrounding me. I began to cry after what had just happened hysterically.
"Jerrica?"I heard a familiar voice ask.
I turned to see Ezra get up. I ran and wrapped my arms around him.
"What's wrong? What happened?"Ezra asked.
"Alex kissed me, and then I panicked. Now we are here. I'm sorry." I explained.
He pulled me tighter.
"It's okay. We will figure this out."
"I love you."
"I know; I love you even more."
"You're not mad?"
"Of course not silly." He kissed my forehead.
"So what are we going to do about this?"
"We wait for them to wake up."
"Okay, let's make camp then."
He grabbed my hand and led me to the border in the forest. I closed my eyes and focused on making a barrier. Suddenly a ringing in my ear threw me to the ground. This caused me extreme pain; Ezra soon came to my side. The ringing got worse, which led to the pain getting worse. I then blacked out due to severe pain. I woke up in a dark room. Emily was there standing.
"Good morning!" Emily said.
I looked around to see that I was in chains.
"Don't you think this is childish?" I asked.
"I don't know what you mean?"
"The fact you're doing all this out of jealousy."
Suddenly the chains tighten, causing me pain.
"You don't know when to shut up, do you?" Emily taunted.
"I'm not afraid of you!"
Flames came from my hand. This started to burn the chains.
"If I can't scare you, then I'll make your life a living hell in other ways."
I finally broke the chains and blasted her with energy. I made a portal, and everything went white.
