*TRIGGER WARNING - CHEATING*

Blaise Zabini

I rolled over and looked at Rose. She was sleeping peacefully, a sheet draped over her naked body, and her hair sprawled across her pillow.

She had a light smile on her face as she dreamed of whatever it was. Her chest rose and fell as she breathed and that's when I knew.

Right then and there I knew I wanted to spend forever with her.

I kissed her cheek lightly and stood up, looking outside to see that it was still dark. I looked at the clock and it said 5:38 am. I couldn't sleep any longer and decided to go for a walk around the manor.

I got dressed in some sweats and made my journey.

The corridors were chilly; a low gust of wind here and there. It was weird because it was always a little warmer. The railing of the staircase was oddly cold and I shivered and took my hand off of it, pulling my arms to my chest.

When I made it to the bottom of the stairs, I turned the corner and realized that the front door was open and the cold December air was now flying around the manor.

I shut the door and made sure to lock it so that it wouldn't open again. I shook my head and continued around the manor.

I went to the library and leaned against the doorway, remembering the time from years ago.

"You're a disgrace! You know better than to talk to me girl. Get out!" Lucius yelled at Rose when she had asked him to sign her Hogsmeade slip our third year.

Draco and I were sitting on the island and eating while Narcissa was out shopping with a friend.

Rose ran out of the room and I knew that she had gone to the library. It was her safe place. It was mine now too.

I followed her, knowing that all she needed was a hug and to be told that she was worth something. Because she was.

"Rose" My voice echoed through the library, wondering where she would be in here.

"O-Over here" She shouted back with a small stutter.

I rounded the corner of the library and walked into where the seating area was.

Rose sat there, her knees to her chest, crying. My heart dropped at the sight.

She was broken and it broke me.

I took small steps closer to her; to hear her faint whisper "Hold me."

And I did. I held her with no hesitation at all.

I sat next to her on the couch and pulled her into me. I played with her hair and hummed, sometimes pulling my hand away from her hair and tracing my hand down her arm.

I now sat on the couch, reminiscing about that time.

Truthfully, I think that's when it all started; when I started to like her. Because after I held her, no one's touch felt the same.

I sat there for a while, not thinking about anything in particular. I wanted to walk around some more, try and make myself tired. So, I stood up and started to walk around the manor once more.

I walked down a few more corridors when I turned down a hall where all of the bedrooms were empty. As I turned, someone ran right into me and we both fell to the ground.

I rubbed my chest where their head hit and I looked up to see Astoria on the floor across from me.

"Astor-"

"Shhhh," She said quickly and stood, grabbing my hand and pulling me with her.

We were down another corridor now, further away from the one that we were just in. We stopped and caught our breath and I looked at her, super confused as to what just happened.

She looked up at me "Blaise."

"Astoria. Care to explain what just happened?" I quirked a brow at her.

"You see," she leaned against the wall "I was walking around the manor because I couldn't sleep and I heard..." She stopped talking and cringed.

"Heard what?" I questioned.

"I heard Lucius and another woman. They were in that corridor and I had just heard it and quickly ran. Then, I hit you and we fell" She spoke quickly but I understood each word.

Lucius was cheating on Narcissa. He had broken his family and they didn't even know it yet.

"We have to tell Mumsy," I spoke, leaning against the opposite wall.

"I think we should tell Draco and Rose first." She pointed out "We have to go back to them anyways and they're the first people we'll see in the morning."

"So you want that to be the first thing they hear in the morning?" My voice raised a bit, but I lowered it quickly.

"Yes. The sooner they know the better."

"Was it actually another woman or was it him and Narcissa trying a new bed?" I know that it sounds weird but it was the truth.

She fake gagged and looked at me again "Yes I'm sure. But we can stay up and wait for her to leave and then we'll know."

I furrowed my brows and debated staying away from Rose longer. I hated leaving her sometimes; she was my safe place. But Astoria was right. If we wait it out, we would be sure and wouldn't say something that wasn't true.

So, together, we went to the kitchen, sat at the island, and waited for the lady to leave.

An hour had passed and still nothing. I was tired and wanted to go back to bed; wanted to be with Rose again.

"I'm tired and there's obviously no one. Astoria, it's been an hour." I groaned, gripping the cup of tea I had made.

"Shhh!" She stood and went over to the door and opened it just a crack.

I followed her and looked above her head.

"Thank you for coming so late. I still haven't broken things off with Narcissa yet." Lucius said, helping the unknown lady put on her coat.

Astoria and I didn't recognize her. She was just a random woman.

"No problem my love. Just- hopefully you can do it soon. I'd love for us to be public." She patted Lucius's chest and kissed him.

I backed away because I couldn't stand watching this anymore. Once Draco and Rose found out about this, they'd break. Once Narcissa found out about it... I don't even want to know how hurt she'd be.

"Shit," I mumbled as Astoria shut the door and sat back at the island.

"I was hoping that it wasn't another woman." She whispered.

"Me too. How do we tell them?" I looked at her, leaning against the wall.

"I- I don't know. Just tell Rose and I'll tell Draco. We can figure out how to tell Narcissa with them." She replied and I nodded.

I peaked my head out the door one more time to make sure the coast was clear. When it was, I walked back up the stairs quietly and made my way to Roses room.
