Teostra looked down at Harudomerugu and Aviva from the crag he was sitting on. The humans had learned surprisingly quickly. At this point, Aviva could conjure spears and swords at her mercury and send them flying at the speed of a diving falcon.

He had to admit, when they first received their draconic powers, his greatest fear had been the danger to themselves, as he highly doubted whether the suits would have the capability to handle the might of an elder dragon. But, thankfully, it seemed as if his fears had been unfounded, for no accidents had occurred during the time of their training. He assumed that their fast learning came partially from years of experience with the suits, and partially from the natural ability to observe gained from years of study as scientists.

Martin lacked all the powers of a true ancestral dragon, but he made up for it by being an...  unorthodox fellow, to say the least. When working with his brother the two were near unbeatable by all but the most experienced and masterful of fighters.

Chris was also a bit lacking in the power department, but compensated by being a skilled and tactical fighter, timing blasts, breaths, and explosions almost perfectly. Teostra himself had been bested by the clever human quite a few times.

Aviva had the same tactical tendency as Chris, but used a little more imagination due to her ability to create whatever she saw fit with her mercury. Harudomerugu told him of a time they were sparring when she created a massive beast of metal to fight him. She commonly used a hand-and-a-half sword made out of mercury in battle.

Koki could use both ice and fire decently well, but had a preference for and relied on fire, which Eruzerion was working on correcting. She fought with a passion that Teostra had only seen matched by his own father, Baron.

Jimmy was no brawler, instead choosing to stay at a distance and use his magnetic powers to hurl any large, heavy object and was, admittedly, quite good at it, quickly picking up Rukodiora's "weapon storm" tactic, where one would use magnetism to fight using a multitude of weapons while at the same time using several shields to block any incoming attack. He was also surprisingly ambitious, as he was working on figuring out how to create and control golems that could act as his thrall, which Rukodiora admitted to never having thought of.

The Wild Kratts would often spar with each other in their free time and their teachers would often watch. Unlike most dragons, who sparred one-on-one, many of their sparring bouts were team battles. Any match with Aviva and Jimmy was a sight to behold, especially if they were on opposing teams.

Teostra's train of thought was interrupted by Harudomerugu's voice.

"Very good, Aviva! You have improved greatly since we last practiced."

"I've been doing sparring with my friends a lot. That's probably why."

"True, true. I will admit, I have never had such a student as you. With your particular power, tactical thinking is best combined with imagination, and you have both in spades."

"Thank you."

"Very well then, that is the end of our session. Au revoir."

"Au revoir."
