GILAN SLAMMED THE PAPER on the table, running a hand through his hair. "Blast this stupid job," he muttered, rising from his seat.

It had been three days, and he still hadn't come to a decision. There were so many possibilities...and so many things that could go wrong if he chose the wrong choice.

"What am I supposed to do?" He sighed, leaning against the wall as he stared at nothing. There had been plenty of different decisions he'd made before. None of them had been particularly difficult. They hadn't been easy, either; but this was different.

"How did you do it?" He shook his head. "I don't understand. What am I going to do if something goes wrong?"

The silence was the only reply he got.

Gilan looked back at the desk, walking over and picking up the paper again. He stared at it for a long moment. What am I supposed to do?

He had a day to figure it out. A day to make the decision, and hope for the best. And he had to do it himself. Halt wasn't here. Will wasn't here. He was there, alone.

He set the paper down again. "What would you do, Crowley?" he asked aloud.
