She was perfect, she was poison.
She danced with such grace,
That could never be forgotten.
She let many a man whisk her,
Into the confines of their quarters.
For one night stands,
And sinful horrors.

She tuned out the music,
The sound of her own thoughts degrading her.
For she needed the finance,
So she could be her own supporter.
She floated through time,
Disregarding the notes of pain in her heart.
Though it was hard to resist the tears,
She let them walk over her and stain her like art.

She tuned out the world,
And let the rhythm carry her.
She was like a venomous snake,
Mauling all who came near her.
Oh how she twisted and swayed,
As though, to a different beat.
One that those who heard it,
Could never repeat.

They judged and they ridiculed,
But never made an effort to understand.
To them the ground she was standing on,
Was like that of sinking sand.
Oh how she flows with the music,
She chants the lyrics of that in a different tongue.
The past hanging so heavy on her shoulders,
Wishing some one would take her away,
From this world in which she does not belong.

Though she was like a harmless doll,
her heart was filled with darkness.
All those whose life she entered would get a taste,
Of unmistakable heartlessness.
She was smooth and undetectable,
Moving without a trace,
She would heal, and she would destroy some.

Oh yes, she was perfect, but she was poison.
