Chapter 1: Alpha Declan

"Blake, Caleb, one of you, quickly get us home."

"What but we were just abo-"

"Now, she's there!"

"What?"

"Just fucking do it!"

Blake quickly does a portal and we walk through to see the picture I drew. Keelan rushes over first with hands raised ready to attack and says

"Give me my mate and explain why you have her!"

"Your mate? I knew I could smell one of you Royals I just couldn't put the scent to who. But how can she be your mate if she's mine?" The guy says. With that hood up we still can't see who he is.

"Hand her over and reveal who you are. And she has many mates, all of us in fact. What makes you so sure she's yours?"

Keelan holds his arms out for her and the guy puts her hesitantly and gently in his arms. Keelan rushes off with her and the guy watches after them. He pushes his hood down and says

"Sorry your highnesses, I'm Alpha Declan. I was doing a border patrol with my beta James, when we smelt rouges, and i felt a pull in that direction. We went to investigate and when we saw the girl with wounds and them talking about handing her over to their boss, we snuck up on them, I got my third Andre who's a Demon to blink straight in to retrieve her. We fought and killed some, but the others fled. It wasn't till I got back to the pack hospital that I realised the pull was to her. I touched her and we'll.... the rest is self explanatory. When I smelt the Royals I made my way here. I didn't notice any marks but as she was my mate I wasn't looking for them." He reasons

Sounds plausible enough, but we will have to watch this man. After what her mother told her. We're going to be weary of any other so-called potential mate.

"I'm not sure about this guy. He just happens upon them. She just happens to be his mate. I don't like him and I don't like him calling her that. It doesn't seem right!" Dravon links

"I agree, If he was a real mate, we wouldn't feel like ripping him apart for touching her would we?" Sebastian says

"Well only she can give us the real answer to that. So let's go see how she is." I answer

"If you would come this way we will have someone set you up a room. Once we've checked on her we will come find you." Zander says

"Well I was hoping to be with her when sh-" Dravon cuts him of threatening

"Until she confirms or denies if you are or not in fact her mate. You won't be going anywhere near her."

"Why would I lie about such a thing?" He asks incredulous

"You'd be surprised what some people would do to claim her as there's!" Blake barks at him

"I really don't want to be away from her but as you wish" He replied. Then we all make our way to the Royal hospital. Again! When we get there Kris is waiting

"What are you doing here?" Zander asked

"I asked him to show Declan his accommodation. Thank you Kris"

"Not a problem Drav. How is she? Katy's been frantic with worry. Can I send her over to see her?"

"We're just about to go see her now. You know Katys more than welcome so send her over. I'll catch up with you later OK?"

"You got it. If you'd like to follow me Declan" Kris says gesturing the opposite direction to which were going. I see a look of contempt and annoyance cross Declans face but as soon as I see it it's gone.
