The trip to the house was an hour long. I didn’t remember living so far from the airport. My mom wouldn’t stop talking about whatever it was that she was talking about. I kind of zoned out after five minutes of the conversation. Its not that I didn’t want to talk to her or that I didn't miss her. I did miss her and I loved her even though we weren’t very close. I was just one of those people that got distracted very easily. And no, I didn’t have A.D.D. I actually went to  the doctor to check up about that that when I was younger with my mom. Bentley was blabbing in baby talk and yelling, then started kicking his hands and legs up and down. He did that a lot when he didn’t have people’s attention. It usually worked because after a while someone or the other would attend to him.

"Hey baby, what’s wrong?" I asked him, rubbing soothing circles on his stomach. He started to laugh loudly. I saw my mom staring at us in amazement and happiness. She had the biggest smile I had seen on her face in a very long time. All I knew was that I wanted to see that smile more often.

"Danielle, there is a bonfire tonight that you have to go to visit the pack and meet the new Alpha," My dad said in his monotone voice, along with a poker face. That’s his best facial expression. He wears it pretty much all the time. In all the years of my life, I don’t think I have ever seen him smile. When I was little, he kind of avoided me. He was all about his sons. Yep, I had two older brothers, who were awesome. I loved them to death. Jai was twenty three years old. He had hazel eyes with more green specks than brown, a really deep voice and was about 6'3, which was very tall compared to my 5’3. My other brother was Mason or Mas. He was twenty years old and was  very outgoing. He was about 5’9 and had light brown eyes. And he was so built that he couldn’t even touch his shoulders. It was really funny to put something like a sticky note on his shoulder and watch him struggle to get it off. It could keep you amused for hours because it always did for me.

The three of us were the three musketeers. We would always get into trouble. I knew that when I saw them, I would start crying because of how much I had missed them. I looked up to see my mom’s lips moving and her looking at me. I hoped that she was not talking to me because her lips were moving really fast and I couldn’t process that many words.

"What did you say, Mom?" I asked her. She just smiled and shook her head.

"Still haven’t changed much, have you baby girl? Anyways, sweetheart, I said that we are leaving at 6. So you have an hour to get unpacked and ready for the bonfire,” She told me. I nodded and looked up to see  that my dad was pulling into my old house’s driveway. It still looked the same, the same black wooden door that my mom had gotten hand carved. The window still had the crack that had been caused by Jai throwing a ball at it when we were playing baseball a long time ago. My mom found it cool and didn’t even yell at us. I got out of the car and stretched. That hour long car ride was horrible. I bent down and carried Bentley out of his car seat. I needed to go to the store later to get more diapers for him. The pack house was just a house down. My dad was the Beta. Some people from the pack lived in the pack house while others lived in houses near the pack house so that they could have more privacy. My mother had wanted us kids to be raised by her and dad, and not the whole pack, which is why they had moved out of the pack house.

I took the diaper bag and placed it on my shoulder, walking up to the house and entering the open door. I spotted my two older brothers with goofy grins on their faces. I smiled at them and placed the diaper bag on the floor because it was getting heavy with all the things that I brought for Bentley in there. My brothers stared at me, then shifted their gaze to the hyper baby in my hands. I looked up at Jai to see his eyes tearing up. Then, in one swift movement he wrapped his muscular arms around me. Bentley squirmed in my arms, making me realise that he wanted to crawl and explore the house by himself. Jai pulled away and before I could place Bentley on the floor, two other arms wrapped around me. Knowing that this was Mason, I smiled widely at my two brothers. Bentley was getting fussy, feeling the need to get down and crawl. I placed him on the floor as he sat up and stared at me with his big eyes. He immediately started to crawl away with me following him. I heard my brothers footsteps behind me.
