Once I tell my parents about Charles' proposal, the first reaction I get is uncertainty. When I tell them that I'm going to say yes to the move they sit me down to make sure i'm making an informed decision. After telling them about my plan with work and reassuring them that I trust the Ferrari driver they start to relax. Once they come to terms with my decision I enlist Emie and Wren to help me pack up my room, which turned into reminiscing every time we came across a memento. Eventually my room became crowded with labeled boxes that would be shipped to Monte Carlo before I left Seattle. Charles texted me throughout the process expressing how happy he was about my decision, I would send back pictures of things I kept finding from my childhood to include him in the time consuming activity.
Moving day comes and I take one last look at my childhood bedroom before making my way out of the house. My family and friends are in the front yard as I prepare to leave for the airport with my suitcase and backpack. My mom is the first one to rush over to give me a tight hug, "don't forget to visit once in a while sweetheart" she murmurs into my ear, "I won't don't worry" I reply as a tear rolls down my cheek. When she pulls away I wipe the tear and smile, "don't cry it's not all bad, you'll be in Monaco after all" she exclaims making me laugh, "that's true, but this is still a big step in my life" my dad pulls me into a hug, "and we're all so proud of you DelBelle" he exclaims before kissing my head. I smile into him trying to keep this moment in my mind for when I need to remember it, "keep that man in line over there" he adds making me laugh as I let go, "will do, but I don't think he needs me for that" he shrugs, "maybe, maybe not, but just take care of each other" I nod and kiss his cheek. Next I move on to my to friends, who take me into a group hug, "never thought that trip to Monaco would lead to this" I laugh and tighten my arms around them, "ditto" I mumble and they each kiss my cheek dramatically before letting me go, "go do amazing things in Monte Carlo, we will DEFINITELY be visiting" Wren tells me with a wink, I give them a thumbs up and turn to my older brother's car, walking over and getting into the passenger seat. "Ready sis?" I nod at his question, waving as we get further away from the house where I spent so much of my life.

Stepping into the airport in Nice hours later feels like starting a new chapter of my life. My eyes sweep the crowd as I walk further into the waiting area. They come to a stop when I see Charles' familiar smile, I grin and move through the travellers in excitement. Once I get to the Monégasque I move his lips down to mine, he cradles my jaw with one hand, the other pulling me flush to him. After a few seconds I pull away and open my eyes to look up at him, "t'est sûr de ça?" I ask while bringing a hand up to his cheek, "oui, cent pour cent sûr ma chérie" he replies. Charles kisses me one last time before taking my hand to lead me to baggage claim and then out of the airport to his car.
We walk into the apartment forty-five minutes later, I'm grinning as I drop my things by the front door before walking further into our place. Arms wind around me from behind, "je t'aime Del" I lean back into Charles my hands moving to interlace with his, "je t'aime Char" he kisses my head and we stand there for a few minutes just enjoying the quiet moment. I leave his embrace after a few seconds going towards the kitchen, I come to a stop my eyes widening when I see the boxes crowding the main living area. "Juste quelque boîtes" my boyfriend murmurs while walking by, I huff, "it didn't look this bad in Seattle" I reply with a pout, he chuckles, "nous trouverons l'espace, ne t'inquiête pas ma chérie"I nod while walking over to the nearest box. Before I can open it Charles takes my hands to pull me away, "nous le ferrons demain, aujourd'hui on se détend" I nod letting him pull me towards the bedroom.
Once in our room I try to let go but the Monégasque keeps leading me further towards the bathroom, I look at him confused but he just smiles. I let out a gasp when we walk into the candle lit bathroom, the bubbles nearly overflowing from the tub sparkle in the low lighting, a champagne bottle sits near the tub with two flutes waiting to be filled. I spin to the Ferrari driver who is watching me nervously, "how did you manage this?" I ask, he shrugs, "Dan owed me one after all the teasing". I grin and pull him into a hug, "j'aime beaucoup, merci" he kisses my temple softly, "come on, before the bubbles disappear" I pull away before I start to strip off my clothes, the bath calling to me after a day of travelling.
Sitting in the tub with Charles, champagne in hand felt like I just came home after being away for far too long. The way his fingers moved along my arm had me melting into his embrace while closing my eyes. He gently removes the champagne flute from my hand making me drop my hand into the warm water swirling the bubbles around lazily. His lips go to my shoulder making me sigh, "je suis tellement heureux que tu vas être ici chaque jour avec moi" Charles murmurs. I smile and open my eyes to peer at him, "moi aussi mon amour" he moves forward and kisses me softly his hand caressing my cheek. He pulls away slowly and I let out a loud yawn, he laughs which makes me giggle, "c'était un longue jour" is all I say.
After a few minutes we climb out of the now lukewarm water grabbing towels before draining the water and blowing out the candles. Back in our bedroom I decide to just slip on one of Charles' shirts to sleep in and he slides on some sweatpants. We climb into bed where I immediately curl up against the Monégasque, my head on his chest while his arm snakes around my waist. "Une petite sieste puis le déjeuner après" Charles says, I nod into him but don't say anything as I fall asleep seconds later.
