The weeks with Charles fly by and I eventually find myself back home. But before I know it a race weekend soon approaches where I had agreed to go to with the Ferrari driver, knowing how hard it was to go see a race live the last few rounds of the season. I easily convince Émie and Wren to tag along with me, thankful that I'll have their company during the slower parts of the weekend. Charles doesn't let us bye plane tickets, insisting that it's his treat even though I know that's always his argument when he buys tickets for me. I know if I try to fight him on it I won't be successful so I let him take care of the travel arrangements, the next thing being to pack and look forward to a weekend with my friends and the man that I love.

When I land in Brussels the Friday of race weekend I can't help but grin. "DELLA!" I turn to the loud shout to see Émie and Wren waving at me, I squeal and rush over throwing my arms around them tightly. "I've missed you guys" I say when pulling away, "it's been too long, we seriously haven't seen each other since Monaco" Émie exclaims, "you're right, that's honestly crazy" Wren links our arms while smiling, "well we're together now, and this is gonna be such a fun weekend" I nod and we walk to baggage claim so that I can get my bag. The excitement starts to build even more when we leave the airport to go to Spa.

Once we arrive at the hotel we booked for the weekend I quickly text Charles saying that we made it safely before checking in. My friends are grinning at me while holding their room keys, "what?" I ask confused by their expressions, "I've missed that smile" Wren replies making me blush and look down at my suitcase. "Whatever let's go" I mumble as we walk towards the elevator our bags rolling behind us. I fiddle with the room key in my hand, which Charles left at the front desk for me, knowing that I would be getting in while he was at FP1 and 2, "so where is he?" Émie asks making me look up, "practice for the next few hours" I reply with a small smile, "perfect we can explore for a bit before you're stolen from us" I laugh and nod. "Okay meet in the lobby in five?" Wren asks as I step out of the elevator on the right floor beneath theirs, "yeah sounds good" I reply and watch the doors close.

After exploring the small town the three of us get back to the hotel. The jet lag evident as we drag ourselves to our rooms, the promise of meeting tomorrow to go watch Q1, 2 and 3 together at the track. I let out a yawn as I walk down the hallway towards mine and Charles' room. When I slip into the room I don't notice the Ferrari driver at first so when arms come around me I jump. "Désolé mon amour" I spin around smiling, "pas de problème Char" he smiles down at me before gently cradling my face. "Comment était les pratiques?" he shrugs, "okay, rien de spéciale" I furrow my brows and he lowers his head to press his lips to mine briefly. "Ne t'inquiéte pas Del" he murmurs as he pulls away while looking into my eyes, "can't help it" he takes my hands, squeezing them as he lead me to the double bed in the center of the room. "Demain tous vas être bon mais maintenant nous ne pensons pas a propos de ça" I smile knowing that he's right so I quickly shed some layers, leaving me in my underwear as he pulls me into bed. I sigh when the Monégasque winds his arms around me, his lips touching my shoulder briefly before I relax and almost immediately fall asleep.

Race day has me buzzing with excitement as I walk into the venue with Émie and Wren by my side. "Wow this is epic" the taller of them says, "I know right! It feels like I'm experiencing it for the first time all over again" I exclaim a smile permanently on my face as we walk. I take them to the village of paddocks pointing out which team is which as we make our way closer to Ferrari. "Della!" I spin at the sound of my voice, I grin when I see Pierre approaching, I take him into a hug before stepping back to reveal my friends. "These are my girls Émie and Wren, guys this is Pierre, one of Charles' closest friends" I explain with a smile, "bonne journée" the Alpha Tauri driver says while smiling at them. I can't help but notice the way that the Frenchman's eyes linger on Wren a few extra seconds so I look over at Émie who is grinning at me telling me that she noticed as well.
