What happened?!
"She fainted, " he said.
He placed her on the ground and the teacher checked her pulse.
"She's breathing fine but she's very hot," the teacher said. She might have gotten a cold or she's just temporarily sick.
"What's going on here?" other teachers joined in worry.
The teacher explained what happened meanwhile I was holding her hand and I just felt like crying. Why did she faint like this? I was extremely worried.
"Miran, could you pick her up and bring her into the tent over there? I'll join you with some medicine" the teacher asked him.
He nodded and picked her up in his arms again.
Everyone dispersed themselves and went back to what they were doing leaving me still worried at the same spot.
"She'll be fine" I heard someone say and turned to see...Fazal?
"Don't worry, she will be okay" he added. He was going to leave but I stood in front of him to stop him.
"You're talking to me now?" My tone wasn't the nicest.
"No I'm not" he looked away avoiding my eyes.
"You think I'll just let you go now that you've finally decided to talk to me?" I asked him.
"Adalina—"
"Why are you ignoring me?" I cut him off.
"I'm not—"
"Yes, you are! And don't you dare lie to me because I can see it clearly that you're avoiding me" I said.
"I can explain," he said.
"Go ahead, I'm listening," I said folding my arms.
He and I went to sit around the fire with the others before he began to explain.
"First of all, just know that I don't hate you at all, in fact I was glad we met until that bastard Aslan came in my way once again," he said.
"It's him again?! I knew it! What did he do again? Did he threaten you?" I asked.
"He doesn't want me near you Adalina and to protect you and Ayla I had to distance myself because I know he will do you wrong somehow" he explained.
"I hate him so much" I stated.
Why does he have to do such things? I really don't get it.
"And I will have to keep doing that for you guys' sake" he added.
"Wait you—"
"What the hell are you doing right now?" Aslan was standing in front of us. He looked upset.
"Nothing," Fazal said getting up and leaving.
I got up as well, I wasn't done talking to him.
"Where do you think you're going?" Aslan stopped me.
"I was talking to him," I said.
"You're staying right here beside me" he ordered.
"I just want to finish my conversation with him," I told him.
"You'd better stay here Adalina, I'm warning you one last time," he said in a cold tone.
My anger was building up. I've always done what he asked me to. For the past months, I've cheated three times during our math exams because I had to give him my answers.
I had to double-do my homework because I had to do his part as well. I've been sleeping less and not to forget I'm always nervous and scared because of him. I thought maybe if I just do what he tells me to, he'll eventually leave me alone.
But I was very wrong, it just keeps getting worse. He gives me orders and I listen and follow like I have no self-respect. I'm getting sick and tired of him.
"You are not my freaking dad to order me around!" I did not want this to come out this way but I screamed.
It's like time has stopped and everyone around us has gone silent. All eyes were on us.
This is the first time I ever screamed at someone other than my brother.
I felt bad immediately after doing it but I also felt relieved. I needed to let it out.
"Stop telling me what to do—I've had enough already," I said tears building their way up. I ran away to hide in my tent.
Jerk.

P.S.: I added Ayla up there with a hijab because she will be wearing one as we go along the story😌
