Part 6- By My Side

Freaking Jerk! I ran to Ayla and hugged her.

"Tell me, did he annoy you?" she asked pulling back.

"He did" I sighed.

"Should I teach that jerk a lesson?" she asked but I stopped her.

We're here for a school trip not to fight and I don't want more drama or problems.

"I swear I will literally punch that guy if he annoys you one more time!" she added. It sounded like she was actually ready to do it.

"It's fine Ayla, what about you and Miran?" I asked her.

"It's okay, he's pretty nice although I find him really weird," she said. What does she mean by weird?

Before I could ask, the teachers demanded our attention before proceeding to explain how things were to go for the day.

"You guys have 20 minutes to use the bathroom, eat a snack and get ready before we leave for hiking make sure to get in teams as you hear the call to depart!" They dismissed us.

"Okay, see you on the site once all the teams reunite there?" Ayla said to me. We both don't want to be separated.

"It's just a few hours, I know it will pass by fast"I reassured her.

We hugged each other and then left to join our teams. I saw my team and joined them. I was surprised when I saw Fazal as well.

We were three girls and two guys in total in our team.

"Hi, I'm Sara" Sara's blue ocean eyes couldn't go unnoticed.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Noor" she was also a brown girl like me. I noticed her cute little braids. It suited her.

"I'm Andrea" The last girl was very tall. She could totally be a model.

"I'm Fazal," he said looking at all of them but me. Of course, he wouldn't care to say hi to me.

"Hi everyone, I'm Adalina," I introduced myself.

"We're only five?" Sara asked.

"No there's Aslan with us as well," I said.

"Oh," she looked disappointed.

"For real?" Noor asked rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" Aslan joined and had his eyes on Noor.

Why is he looking at her like that? I hope he's not thinking of troubling them. What if she complains to the teachers and then we get a warning?

"But don't worry, he's not a bad person" I lied.

Aslan turned to me dumbstruck.

"You know him?" Andrea asked me.

"Yes we're best friends" Aslan replied before I could say anything. Best friends?! Has he gone mad?!

"Oh I see, good to know," she said.

We were given a map before we left the site. We have to work with our teammates and find the spot where everyone else is supposed to reunite. The thing is that everyone starts at a different point however we all have to end up at the same destination.

"We're going this way" Sara sounded like she knew where she was going.

"That's right" Noor confirmed.

We walked for about two hours. Aslan did not let me go with the girls or have other conversations with them. He kept me by his side which annoyed me. It's teamwork not a team of two.
