Ordinary Family Dinner

"No, you won't." Reaper sighed, "Because the Geno I know loves pasta dishes and I know he would have ordered one. Trust me, I can cover the bill, so please, stop thinking about it and start enjoying yourself. I wanna treat you nice tonight, so let me."

A faint smile stretched across Geno's face, "Only if you're sure-"

"I am."

"Then I'll take the shrimp fettuccine."

"Yes, you will."

"Well, now that you've told me to, I don't want to." Geno smiled playfully, tapping on the rim of the wine glass.

"Don't get the shrimp fettuccine."

"Okay, I'm gonna get it."

"Good."

"On second thought-"

"I would be extremely upset if you got the shrimp fettuccine. I would literally cry myself to sleep later."

"Well now I HAVE to get it."

"Fuck."

Geno snickered and lay his hand down on the table.

"Just so you know, if you keep your hand there for another five seconds, I'm going to hold your hand."

Geno looked up, staring at him.

Five seconds passed.

"Well, damn. You asked for it." Reaper lay his hand down on top of Geno's.

And to his surprise and immense happiness, he made no effort to retract it.

"Why'd it get changed from lunch to dinner anyway?" Ink asked, briefly scanning his reflection in the bathroom mirror.

"Because Fresh was a dumbass and did an extra afternoon shift," Error called back from the hall, "Now come on, Geno's gonna be here any minute."

"Error?" The artist sighed, re-emerging.

"Mm?"

"What if your mom hates me?"

The dark skeleton scoffed, "She won't, trust me! Though I'll warn you now, she might interrogate you a little bit, she tends to do that with any boys I've ever been with."

"That's understandable, I guess."

"Where's Geno?

"On his way, I don't know?"

On cue, a car horn sounded from outside.

"Oh, there he is."

"Evening." Geno muttered as Error and Ink climbed into the back.

"Mm." Error acknowledged him with a hum while Ink smiled at him and replied.

"Hey Geno, how are you doing?"

Geno gave him a stare. A cold, uncomfortable stare that lasted about three seconds.

"Geno?" Error snapped his fingers, glaring at him and folding his arms.

"Hello, Ink." Geno sighed, beginning to back the car out of it's parked space.

After a silent, somewhat tense car ride, they eventually pulled up what Ink thought was a very nice looking house. Large, with a bright flowerbed out the front and a black car that sparkled in the setting sun.

"We're actually on time, wow." Error laughed, opening and holding Ink's car door open for him.

"Only because I got you here." Geno groaned and pushed past them.
