{Derek Pov}

I hear my girls screaming from inside the diner "Let me go" I yelled to Hotch and Rossi who were still holding me back "We can't Derek it's not safe for any of us yet" Rossi said "I don't care I have to go in there please SWAT is here and surrounding the building please Hotch your the only way I can protect my girls" I said looking at Hotch "Let's go in" Hotch said as he looks at me.

SWAT walks in and I go behind them quickly trying to get to my girls but it felt like it took so long until we got into the seating area where everyone was "GET DOWN ON YOUR KNEES AND PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR" SWAT Yelled out and I see Penelope on the floor with a gunshot wound. I run to Penelope putting pressure on her wound until Medic got there and when I looked for Aaliyah I didn't see her "where is my daughter" I say scared "she was just right there" Prentiss said, I looked around and I see Aaliyah outside being held by a SWAT member. I run outside to Aaliyah "DADDY" She cried out "I got you" I whispered as I took her into my arms rubbing her back to get her to calm down "whats going to happen to mommy" Aaliyah choked out "Mommy is going to the hospital in the Ambulance she will be ok she is a tough woman" I say as I walk us to another ambulance "you have to sit down in front of the Emt so they can check on you" I say calmly looking at Aaliyah "ok" she saids quietly I set her down so the Emt can check her out  "Derek" I hear JJ say so I walk over to her "whats the update on Penelope" I said quietly so Aaliyah wouldn't hear "she just went into surgery and she lost a lot of blood" JJ said "she has to be ok I cant lose her neither can Aaliyah" I said "'she is a very strong woman she will pull through and I will keep Aaliyah so you can go to the hospital with Penelope" Prentiss said "thank you" I say 

"Aaliyah is healthy just a few cuts and bruises," the Emt said "thank you" I responded to her "Aaliyah," I said "yes," she said not looking away from the toy JJ brought her "Your gonna go with Emily while I go check on mommy," I said "ok but does she have food and coloring books," She said excited "I don't but we can stop by the store and get some" Emily said smiling "thank you," Aaliyah said holding her arms out so Emily can hold her "I'm gonna head to the hospital ok Aaliyah I will text Emily when Penelope is out," I say as I kiss Aaliyah's cheek "ok" she responds. I walk to my car and before I get in I see Penelope car in front of mine "please let her be ok I can't lose her not now not ever" I say "She is a strong woman kid" I hear Rossi say which made me jump because I didn't know he was behind me "Shit Rossi you scared me" I say with my hand on my chest "sorry I didn't mean too but I just had to make sure your ok" "I'm scared I know she is tough but she got shot and the shooter in the diner they were in there for at least an hour" "I know but you all will get through it together" Rossi said as he hugs me "thanks dad" I said "your welcome kid" He said 

I arrived at the hospital "I'm Penelope Garcias FIance is she out of surgery yet" I asked the lady at the front desk "Not yet but the doctor wants to talk to you" she responds "ok um what room will she be in" I asked, she points to the farthest room down the hall "thanks" I said as I walk towards the room. I sit down in one of the chairs in the room waiting for the doctor "Mr. Morgan" "that's me" I say looking up at the doctor as he pulls a chair up in front of me and sits down "do you want the good or bad news first" "good please" I say "so she is doing amazing in surgery she will make a full recovery" "that's amazing but what's the bad news" I say "she was 7 weeks pregnant and sadly miscarried" the doctor said, my heart broke when he told me that because we've kinda been trying but stopped when she wanted to stop "would you like me to tell her" The doctor suggested "no I will tell her" I say "ok well I just got an alert saying she is out of surgery and about to be in here in a few minutes" "ok thank you" I say as he walks out. I pull out my phone to call Reid "Spence" I say as my voice cracks "Morgan what's wrong wait I'm about to be there in a few minutes ok just hold tight ok I'm going up the elevator" "ok we are in the last room of the hall" I say before I hang up 

"Morgan" I hear Spencer say "I can't see her in pain and I know she is going to be heartbroken when I tell her she" I paused to breathe "you don't have to finish ok come here," Spencer said as he pulls me into a hug and I start to cry "I hate crying" "I know but it's ok to cry" Spencer reassures me "she is about to come in," I say as I look up and see her in a hospital bed being wheeled in "she is still smiling," I say "Yeah its because she sees you," Spener said. She gets settled into the room "hi baby girl" I say as I hold her hand and I kiss her cheeks "I miss you and how is Aaliyah is she ok" I smile seeing how much Penelope cares about Aaliyah "She is with Emily and she is ok just some cuts and bruises" I say "thank goodness she is ok I don't want her like this" She said which made me look at Spencer and he knew what I have to talk to Penelope in private so he walks out "Babygirl" I say "yes what's wrong" "so you know that we have been trying to have a baby" "yea why" she questioned with a confused look "you were 7 weeks pregnant" I say "I miscarried".....
