"What do you see, Y/N?" He whispered to me as I looked through the binoculars. Apparently he doesn't like using these himself so he's going to have me look instead. "Only a few kids, just outside the barrier you told me about."
He nodded and gave me the queue to stop looking. "I'll be able to hear every move they make so if they come in further, we'll know." I gave him an okay as he continued to explain the situation for future reference, but I managed to zone out for a bit, just thinking about whether or not I'm actually okay with doing shit like this with a man I barely know.
I mean, he's extremely rude but kinda nice to me at the same time and it's confusing as fuck. He treats me like I'm a little child but also expects me to be super smart. It's a little pressuring, if I'm being honest. Suddenly, I felt a sting on the side of my face due to his hand that harshly slapped it. "I know you aren't listening, Y/N." I stared at him in anger and disbelief as I held my hand to my stinging cheek. "What the fuck?? You could of just waved your hand, asshole." I whisper-yelled.
"Yeah, but then how would I be able to see that funny expression on your face?" He said with a chuckle. I huffed. He was going to end up pushing me to my limit with all this stupid teasing. "Whatever. What now?" I asked, making him scoff. I glared at him in annoyance as a signal to say something. After a few seconds, he finally spoke. "Like I said, we stay here until they leave."
I huffed and tried my best to relax my tensed shoulders. This is going to take forever. Even if it meant sitting in awkwardness with Hoodie staring down every move I make, I would much rather being at the camp than staying here with Tim making fun of me for hours as we wait for these stupid teenagers to leave the woods. Why are these woods even so important to his boss anyway? There's so many other places out there to stay at that won't include people being able to camp out at. I considered bringing the question up.
Actually, fuck it.
