After about 2 hours of watching whatever looked interesting, he checked his phone to see what time it was. Since it was nearing 2pm, he got up, going to his room and finishing up a code that was only about halfway finished, getting to work.
Dream had started the code for him, so once he finished it, he looked through and checked how the other boy did. A few things were out of place, a few lines written incorrectly.
He rubbed his eyes, and went through each line, fixing whatever needed to be fixed.
By the time he finished, he could hear the front door unlock and the footsteps from his boyfriend. He got out of his chair, heading to the kitchen to help the boy put away groceries, but when he got there he only saw two bags, which was definitely not enough for his list.
"Hey... did you not get everything?" George asked, putting away the milk that Dream had bought.
"What do you mean?" the blond asked back, going through the other bag of stuff.
"I sent you a grocery list, I figured you could get that on your way home" the brunet explained, leaning against the counter and watching the other boy.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see your text" the teller shrugged. George could clearly see that the other had only bought things for him, not even the brits drink that Dream almost finished.
"Whats up with you today?" the words came out a little harsher then intended, but by now George was quite mad.
"Huh?" Dream looked genuinely confused as he furrowed his eyebrows, turing away from the brown-eyed boy and putting something in the fridge.
"First, I wake up to a water soaked bathroom, which you left the light on, plus the laundry basket was practically overflowing. Then, I come out into the kitchen and the cereal was knocked over and spilt, and your bowl of cereal is in the sink. We've been over this, that's gonna attract bugs! Then, when I went to go relax on the couch, your jacket was thrown on it, your welcome for putting it away. Afterwards, I started working on that code I asked you to start, and do you know how much you were missing?!" his voice got more and more angry as he spoke, but his voice tuned calm as he said "And now,, you didn't get any of the groceries. You're normally so clean, what's up with you?"
"Why do you even care?! that's such stupid shit to get so mad over!" Dream's tone was stern and annoyed, obviously not wanting to put up with the brunet over something like that. In the moment he didn't understand why the other would be so mad over a few little things.
"Because it's such easy stuff for you to do! And, it's such easy shit to avoid! just put the cereal away, and I won't have to clean up after you!" George retorted, getting angrier and angrier. Deep down, he knows how stupid this argument is, but he also knows he's right. It is an easy thing for the blond to do, to just clean up after himself.
"It doesn't matter through! Why are you so defensive?" Dream groaned at the end, being the last straw for the brit.
"If your gonna act so childish, I might as well not be here" George stated confidentiality, going to their shared bedroom and grabbing a backpack, throwing some clothes inside. The taller boy followed after him, looking confusion.
"What are you doing?" he asked, Dream seemed concerned rather then angry now, but still obviously upset.
"I don't want to deal with this right now, I'm leaving" he finished throwing a shirt in, walking to the door and slamming it behind him. Once again, deep down he knows this is stupid, but anger clouded his judgment as he got into his car (yes, he can drive in this lmao) and looks for the nearest hotel, cheap enough to stay in for a night.
