Tara's POV

"Ugh..." I groaned and rolled over to grab my alarm clock off the nightstand and turned it off.

I hated getting up so early in the morning. I wasn't a morning person, never have been. I dragged myself to the bathroom and stood in front of the bathroom mirror.

"I look terrible. I feel so sorry for any dude that has to wake up to this every morning" I laughed to myself.

"It's friday already. I can't believe the week has passed so quickly. Not that it's a bad thing." I said while pulling my hair into a ponytail.

I put on some eyeliner, mascara and some eye shadow. Make up wasn't really my thing, after all, I had been told my skin was flawless.

"You wake up, flawless

Post up, flawless

Ridin' round in it, flawless

Flossin' on that, flawless

This diamond, flawless

My diamond, flawless

This rock, flawless

My rock, flawless

I woke up like this

I woke up like..."

"Cant I have a peaceful morning? All I am asking for is a little silence. Tara please shut up" Jason exclaimed.

"Sorry Jason" I said.

I don't know what has been up with Jason. We used to be so close. He used to tell me everything. We used to stay up and play video games together. Ever since he turned a teen, he has shunned me out. He has become an emotional roller coaster. I guess it's puberty.

I arrived at school and as usual Violet was waiting for me at my locker. "Hey girl" she exclaimed.

"Morning Vi" I said.

"Tara, you're wearing mascara and eyeliner and omg, is that eyeshadow?"she exclaimed," who is he?"

"What are you talking about Violet?" I said trying to be clueless.

"You know exactly what I am talking about T, don't play dumb" she said with a straight face. I couldn't lie to her, she could see right through me, so lying would be pointless.

"I have literature... And there's this guy and he's so cute" I said while looking down and playing with my fingers.

"And..." She said staring at me with her hazel eyes.

I didn't reply. "I need details girl, name, age, how does he look... I need to..."

"Turn around, there he is" I pointed in his direction.

"Are you kidding me? That boy isn't cute, he is sexy. I mean...look at those dimples" she exclaimed.

I didn't even realized he had dimples. His dimples were quite prominent when he smiled. They sat symmetrical on either sides of his face. I was lost in his dimples.

"Tara quit staring, youre gonna be late for class"she shouted.

"Ok. Bye V"

It was literature and we were told to research a poem that we would recite in front of the class.
