Chapter 7

Everyone jumps up.

' stay back! It might be a squid.' I say getting ready to attack.

Bright red hair emerges from the water.

'Its Kellie!'

' help me up! They're coming'she says before screaming and sinking back under.

I immediately dive in after her to see her struggling to get out of a squids grip.

I swim after them and grab her by the arm and pulling.

She slips out of the squids grip and I swim as fast as I can with her by my side.

Megan's POV

They both emerge from the water and we help them up.

Kellie starts coughing, just laying there on the ground.

' are you okay?' ty asks her.

'I'm-fine. Thanks-for-saving-me.' she says in between coughs.

'where are the others?' I ask.

' Jerome. He's going to help them.' she says.

' I should go help.'Mitch says standing up.

'we're coming with you' roisin says walking towards him.

'someone has to stay with Kellie, she's not going back down there.' I say.

'she's right, roisin, Molly, precious. You come with me. The rest of you stay here'Mitch commands.

' can we look for my sister?'Kellie asks quietly.

' yeah, c'mon.' Ty answers for Mitch.

'stay safe' I say.

' you too'

And they jump into the water.

Alesa's POV

' what are you gonna do to me?' I whimper.

'you'll see...' an ice cold voice replies.

'if you hurt me, he'll find you!' I shout struggling to get out of the squids strong grip.

'I don't think he'll be going anywhere.' the squids snarls.

' what did you do to him?' I whisper.

Images of what they could be doing to him flash through my mind.

'oh, it's nothing you should be concerned about' they say as I'm thrown into a cell.

'be sure to get some rest... We have a very busy day ahead of us'

And with that they're gone, and I'm left alone only to wonder what they might be doing.

'psst! Alesa.' I hear a whisper.

I look up to see Jerome at my cell door.

' Jerome, where's sky?' I ask him.

'we-we haven't found him yet.'

Oh.

' but I'm here to get you out' he says reassuringly.

' okay, please-please be quick' I beg and he nods while picklocking the door.

Precious' POV

'kyle!' I say running over to his cell.

' precious! Get me outta here!' he says.

I call over Mitch and he unlocks the door.

' you okay?' I ask.

He nods. ' yeah, where are the others?'

' kellie's safe, Jason and Tyler should be around here and Jerome is going to find Sky and Alesa' Mitch says looking in all the cells for Tyler and Jason.

' you guys! Over here!' Tyler calls out.

Kyle runs up to a nearby cell and calls us over.

'how's sky?' he says after Mitch let him free.

'still looking' I say.

'well c'mon, we have to find Jason!' Mitch says leading us to more cells.

Roisin's POV

I hear someone groan in pain.

'Jason?'

No reply just more painful groans.

I look into a cell to see Jason on the floor, curled into a ball.

'guys! Someone! I think he's hurt!' I say waving my arms in the air to get their attention.

Mitch runs over with precious,Tyler and kyle.

Molly comes running over after them.

'we have to hurry, they're coming this way!' she says.

'okay, hurry up Mitch!' I say impatiently.

'I'm trying' he says before swinging the steel door open.

I run in to get Jason.

'okay, c'mon Jason. You need to help us here' I say as we lift him of the floor and begin to walk down the hall.

Molly's POV

'get them!' I hear a voice boom.

I turn around to see an entire army of squids charging towards us.

'run!' I scream and we all take off.

'they're catching up!' Tyler shouts as we try to pick up the speed.

Roisin and Mitch both struggle to run with Jason as we all try to get away from the danger behind us...

Ty's POV

We walk around avoiding the water.

No-one speaks.

' so um.... Where do you think your sister is?' I ask, breaking the silence.

She doesn't answer but keeps staying ahead.

Kellie's POV

Just keep searching.

I need to find her before the squids find her first...

Ty's POV

' uh Kellie?' I ask snapping her from her thoughts.

' what? Sorry, I was thinking.' she replies.

'I was asking where do you think your sister might be?' I ask again.

' umm... I dunno. I just need to find her' she says as she continues to look forward.

'don't worry, we'll find her' Megan says placing a hand on Kellie's shoulder.

'Let's just hope nothing happens on the way...'
