the year is june 2008, an eight and seven year old soobin and y/n sat in the young girls backyard, looking up at the loud pointing out the random figures that they could find.
"hey binnie" the seven year old turned her head to look at her best friend, her eye's growing bight at the sight of the young boy.
"yes bubba?" soobin looked over at the girl, a cat-like smile falling onto his face. soobin moved a curl out of the girls face to get a better look at her. the simple action caused his little heart to speed up a little faster than usual.
"would you still love me if I was a bunny?" the girl questioned the boy, turning back to look at the clouds with a pout.
"bubs, I would love you if you were a bunny, cow, horse... everything. I would love you if you stayed here or just left me. I would love you forever if I can." soobin's eyes widened slightly as the girl jumped on top of his body, hugging him.
"thanks binnie! but, I wouldn't leave you... who else would watch barbie movies with me?" the girl giggled as soobin lightly pushed her off of him, tickling her.
"good, we're going to be together forever"

"now boarding flight 354 lax to jfk" the loud speaker of the airport announced, y/n couldn't help but to sigh as she walked to her flight.
not even four hours ago, the girl was on her way back to her apartment when lea called asking hr to visit new york for the weekend with her. so, here she was in lax boarding her flight. and yes, she told soobin she would leave.
"call me when you get off your flight and if anyone talks to you tell me- oh and make sure you get those little biscuits for me and-" soobin's voice flowed throughout the girls airpods as she rolled her eyes. he'd been on the phone ever since she'd left for the airport an hour ago.
"I know, I know... I gotta go binnie, love you" y/n smiled waving at the camera as her best friend mumbled back an 'I love you', hanging up the phone.
well that was rude... y/n sighed to herself, showing the flight attendant her boarding pass as she entered the small gate that led to the aircraft she would fly in. once comfortable in her seat, the girl soon drifted off to sleep 'figures' by jessie reyez playing softly in her ears.
