Things in Storybrook started going downhill! Not only did Mary-Margret and David agree to tell Katherine about their affair, but David lied to her instead of telling her the truth! So then Katherine went to Mary-Margret and slapped her in the middle of the school, in front of a bunch of kids and other teachers! But then, she decided to move to Boston to become a lawyer! However, early this morning, Emma got a call from someone passing by and who had passed Katherine's car that had crashed on the side of the road! At least, that's what Henry told me when he was supposed to meet Emma in the morning, but she had to tell him she couldn't make it.
One good thing that was happening though was miners day!
"What the hell is miners day?" I asked Regina the night before
"It's a Storybrook thing, there used to be mining here and we celebrate it every year. Anyway! Henry really wants to go, but I'm not in the mood to with this whole Katherine thing" She told me
"So you want me to take him?" I asked
"Yes, please, if you wouldn't mind" She said
"Of course, I was going to meet Ruby, I think miners day was the surprise she was going on about, but anyway, Henry can join us, I'll just text her and let her know" I said pulling put my phone and sending a quick text to her
"So, how are you two? She seems to be coming over a lot for movie nights" Regina said smiling at me
"Yeah, we're good! Really good actually!" I replied
"Why do you sound surprised?" She asked
"I don't know. Probably because I don't like myself much, so when someone comes along who genuinely wants to be part of my life, I guess I find it hard to accept that" I replied
"You sound like Archie!" She said making me laugh "Besides, I like you!"
"Yeah but not at first! You didn't want me because you genuinely wanted to be my mom, you needed something first and then I grew on you!" I replied
"Yeah, fair point! But I tried really hard to hate you! You're just too damn cute!" She laughed. It was getting late so I headed up to bed night
"Night!" I yelled as I headed upstairs
"Night, what?" She asked
"Night Mom!" I replied back before going into my room and going to sleep. Henry wasn't in my room yet. He usually tries to leave it as late as possible, and I've found that the later I stay up, the longer he stays in bed. But for the past few weeks, he hasn't been coming in every night, just a couple times, which is really good for him.
The next day, there were stalls up all over the street next to the mayors office full of people running around and buying things. Except one stall had no visitors! It was Mary-Margret's, she was selling candles
"Hope! Do you want to buy a candle?" She asked enthusiastically
"Wow, hey! Hi Leroy!" I said flashing him a really cheesy grin. He's always grumpy, but the two of us have had a few nice conversations, and now whenever I see him, I grin and he gives me a scowl! It's all fun "What are the candles for?" I asked
"To help pay for rent for the nuns" She replied
"Oh, sure I'll get a candle" I said handing over a dollar and getting candle. Henry spotted Ruby and started dragging me over to her. For the rest of the day, we just hung out there walked around the stalls. It started getting late, and there was a power cut which turned all the lights off. However, there was enough candles for everyone to light the place back up! Thank god for those candles!
The evening was spoilt when Emma came with some sombre news!
"David, we need to talk" She said climbing out of her car
"Did you get a hold of Kathryn?" David asked
"No, Im afraid not"
"What's going on?" I asked walking over and leaving Henry with Ruby
"Katherine didn't make it to Boston" Emma said
"What?" I asked shocked
"David, I need you to come to the sheriffs station with me and tell me everything" Emma said
"Im sorry. I thought I already did" He replied
"So did I" She said as she opened the car door and ushered him in. People didn't stay much longer, I took Henry home straight away and sent him off to bed while I cleaned up a bit before Regina got home, and then I went to bed too. Henry clearly had been upset by what happened with David and 5 minutes after turning my light off, Henry crawled into my room
