I had picked Henry up from school when he asked to check out the new Hulk comic book in the store across the street. I needed some more mascara so I told him I'd meet him in there. We were apart for less than 5 minutes. I entered Mr Clark's store and found him calling Regina about Henry.

"Hey what's going on?" I asked. Mr Clark hung up the phone and came over to me

"Henry was shop lifting" He told me

"What? Henry is this true?" I asked

"No, those kids put it in my back pack" He said. I looked over at the kids he was talking about'. I'd seem them walking around every now and again, but didn't really know them. Just then Regina came into the store.

"Im sorry, Madam Mayor, but your son was shoplifting" Said Mr Clark

"Were you?" She asked Henry. He shook his head

"Look for yourself" Said Mr Clark gesturing

"My son doesn't eat candy. And he knows better than to steal. It was obviously those two. Were going" Said Regina pushing Henry out the door

"Henry. What happened?" Emma asked

"Miss Swan, must I remind you that genetics mean nothing. You're not his mother and its all taken care of" Said Regina

"I'm here because I'm the Sheriff" Said Emma

"Oh, thats right. Go on, do your job. Take care of those miscreants" Regina replied before shoving Henry out the door

"I think they were just trying to feed themselves" I said to Emma before following Regina and Henry out. Regina dropped us home and left straight away. Emma texted me wanting my help and asked me to go to the station, so me and Henry headed straight over. She called while we were on our way and said they had no parents

"Any luck?" Henry asked when we arrived

"No" Emma replied

"I know who they are. Theyre brother and sister, lost, no parents, Hansel and Gretel" Said Henry opening his book

"Anything in there about the dad?" Emma asked

"Just that he abandoned them" Said Henry

"Great. Sounds like a familiar story. Whoever this guy is, he could be in Laos by now" Said Emma

"No, hes here" Said Henry

"Just how do you know that?" Emma asked

"Cause no one leaves Storybrook. No one comes here, no one goes. Its just the way it is" Henry replied

"I came here, Hope came here" Said Emma

"Because you're special. You're the first strangers here, ever" He said

"Right – I forgot. Well, if hes around here anywhere, Im going to find him" Said Emma

"Can you tell me about him?" Asked Henry

"I dont know anything yet" Said Emma

"Not their father – mine. I told you about your parents and now, youre even living with your mom" Said Henry. Emma gave me a look

"Mary Margaret isn't... Shes Never mind" Said Emma

"Please?" Henry begged

"I was pretty young. Id just gotten out of the foster system and the only job I could get was at this twenty four hour diner just off the interstate. And, um Your dad was training to be a fireman. He always got the worst shifts, so hed come in and order coffee and pie and sit at the counter and always complain that we didnt sell pumpkin pie. But he always came back the next night anyway" She said

"Did you get married?" Henry asked

"Oh, no. Nothing like that. We just We hung out a few times outside of work andlife happened. His got better and mine got worse and I got into some trouble" She told him

"And you went to jail" Said Henry

"Yeah. Before I went, I I found out I was pregnant with you. And I tried to contact him, and I found out that he died saving a family from a burning apartment building. So, you think Im a saviour, Henry – he was. Your father was a real hero" She said

"Do you have anything of his? Something you can remember him by. Something I could see" Henry asked

"I dont. Henry, I'm sorry" Said Emma

"Wait. I think I may know how to find his dad" I said

"How?" Emma asked

"I have this ring I keep on a chain. I've had it since I was a baby, it's the one thing I have that was my parents" I said pulling it out from under my clothes. It kind of gave me pirate vibes and had a big red jewel in the middle "They might have something too" I said

"Hope, your a genius!" She said squeezing my shoulder before running to her car. Me and Henry followed and jumped in the back. When we arrived Emma ran upstairs without saying anything and shortly returned with a box

"I want to show you guys something" She said pulling out a blanket

"What's that?" Nicolas asked

"Its my baby blanket. Its something Ive held onto my whole life. Thats the only thing that I have from From my parents. I've spent a lot of time with a lot of kids in your situation, and all of them – all of us – we held onto stuff. I want to find your father, but I need your help. Is there anything of his youve held onto?" Said Emma glancing over at me

"I might have something. But if I give it to you, youll make sure we stay together, right?" Asked Ava

"Right" Ava handed something to Emma "A compass"

"Our mom kept it. She said it was our dads" She said

"Thank you" Said Emma

"Did you find them?" Ava asked

"Who?" Said Emma

"Your parents" Said Ava

"Not yet. But Im going to find yours" Emma left the apartment and Mary-Margret got the three kids to make cookies and decorate them. Emma returned a few hours later. The dad didn't want them and they were going to be split up in the foster system.

Emma got the kids to pack their things up and drove the sheriff car to the front of the apartment. Regina came to pick Henry up, at least that's what she said, and she watched them get it in the car.

"Come on. Its going to be... Here. I'm sorry, but we got to go" Said Emma handing the compass back and getting in the car with the two kids

"Lets go" Said Regina putting her hand on Henry's shoulder, he shrugged her off and ran to Emma's window

"No, you cant take them! They cant leave Storybrook, Emma! They cant. Something bad will happen" Said Henry

"Something bad has already happened" She said before driving off. Henry got in the car with Regina

"I'm going to help Mary-Margret clean up, we made a pretty big mess plus I want to see Ruby. I'll just let myself in" I told Regina. She drove off and I stayed and helped clean up.
